First, they were gracious enough to allow us to check in at 2 in the morning. They had said call them about 1/2 hour out and they would be ready for us. The rooms were clean if spartan. There was, for instance, a small fridge in the room. Always nice. On the floor, at the foot of one of the beds. Not where I am accustomed to a mini fridge. The beds were comfortable and the bedding clean and plentiful. Plenty of towels in a clean bathroom desperately in need of some updates. The room was large with two nice beds but only one chair to sit on. The continental breakfast was sparse and somewhat dubious in provenance. When I asked the young lady at the desk of the boiled eggs were fresh, I was informed, “That’s not my job, I don’t know” Of course, I shouldn’t have been too surprised as this was the same young woman who could barely bring herself to answer our morning greeting as we passed the front desk. There is a restaurant on site, so not sure why the rather stingy offerings for breakfast. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and cheerful and inquiring as to whether we needed anything else but didn’t feel the need to change out the empty toilet paper rolls. This continued right up to check out where upon my placing the keycard on the desk I was informed I was “good to go”. Not, “did you have a good time?” Or, “I hope you enjoyed your stay” I won’t bother to come back, there are too many good independent places that actually want people to stay with them.

We are appalled to hear that one of our staff members responded to you in this way. We can assure you that this is not our expectation. Please reach out to us privately for a special offer.

The staff was amazing and we would certainly stay there again. It was clean and they had a sufficient breakfast in the morning. The elevator is very suspect, to say the least! However, they did let you know that right at sign in. The shower head could be higher and more forceful. The toilet seats should be higher. Mattress was ultra firm......need better mattresses. We will return because you just can't beat the warmth and friendliness and the great price.

Located on a very busy route. Listened to traffic all night long. Bed was very uncomfortable. Won't stay again

Unfortunately, we are located at a very busy intersection. We apologize that your stay wasn't what you had expected. Perhaps we could have put you in a different room away from the noise. If you would ever consider staying with us again and request it, we would be happy to accommodate you.

Nice hotel in Amish Country

When we got to our room, we were surprised to find that it had two bathrooms, one normal nice hotel bathroom and one incredibly fancy bathroom with a whirlpool tub with candles, and a separate room for the toilet and bidet. Turns out we got put in the honeymoon suite. Very nice four-poster canopied bed, so tall it has a step stool to get into it. The restaurant is good, which is necessary because there are no other decent restaurants in town. Free continental breakfast too in a nice balcony overlooking the garden. If you're planning a wedding, the outdoor garden area has room for a tent.

Wayne Brook Inn a little tired....

Pros: The helpful staff
Cons: See above, and invest in fitted sheets like the rest of the world.
Location: not alot, unless you like farms and farm stands. Very rural
Room was a little dirty, drapes dirty & not on hooks, sheers ripped and stained. Big patch on the wall in the bathroom. No fitted sheets. They like to make the bed with the bottom sheet not tucked in at the head of the bed (edge comes to just top of mattress so sides are exposed- yuck) , just at the feet so sheets always come off- bed always needs to be made before sleeping (this has happened every time i've stayed there). Pub was closed "for Maintenance" on last stay so no where to eat dinner. Continental breakfast is very basic and almost sparse. I hear the Bistro is great, but i'm always there on Mondays so never get to try it. Probably won't stay there again.

Restored Beauty

Beautiful old hotel with restaurant and bar. Good drinks and food at very reasonable prices. Great place to stay the night

Tthe rooms are nice, but they have unclean bathrooms and you have to deal with loud music from the pub on weekends. Would not recommend this hotel.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
I stayed here in early December with other business associates. My room was larger but my friends room were much smaller. The furnishings were very nice and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was very small, with no room to lay out toiletries. The bathroom was also dirty when I arrived. Although clean towels were left each day, the bathroom itself was never cleaned the entire visit. My associates commented on the same lack of cleanliness in their bathrooms. The restaurant has excellent food with relatively reasonable pricing - we ate there twice and enjoyed both meals. The really bad part of the stay was coming back to the hotel about 10:00 pm on Friday night. The pub downstairs apparently does a very good business on weekends and they had cranked up the music - I could hear it all the way up on the third floor. I called downstairs to ask if they could turn the music down and the staff at the front desk was short with me.

Great Hotel & FANTASTIC restaurant

We stayed as part of a wedding party and absolutely loved this hotel, infact we stayed an extra day and exploreed the Amish community & shops. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic with a rich wood and cut stone atmosphere. The French Onion soup was the best I had in years and my wife loved the Vegetable Tempura. Our entrees were great as well. This hotel is close to Reading, Lancaster and the Pa Turnpike, so it's well located.

If your looking for unique this is the place

We stayed 6 nights at the Waynebrook during early November and found it very delightful. The bed was so comfortable and the staff very friendly. We had opted for a different type of hotel on our first visit to Lancaster County and this one certainly filled the bill. The hotel is located where you can easily go to several areas in one day and the countryside is beautiful. The breakfast was average but could use some added features which we shared with the staff and they were very receptive. If you needed maps to certain locations they would pull them up on the front desk computer and even suggest places to go visit. The only negative experience we had was at the restaurant where we waited two hours for our meal and then had to send it back. They did comp the meal but for the prices charged service should be better and the food too. We would stay again just for the friendly, quaint, and unique atmosphere offered at the Waynebrook.
