I booked the hotel through Travelocity and paid in advance-in full. My family and I were waiting for our townhome to be ready on the 8th. We checked into the hotel and immediately noticed that it did not look like the pics. It is outdated, smelly and dirty. The first room was not feasible because the patrons in the room next to ours had a dog that constantly barked. Thus, our room was changed. When we settled into the second room, my husband was taking a shower (the bathroom was dirty and the paint was peeling in the shower) when I noticed something flying around. There were bees everywhere! Yes, bees!! I took a quick video and went to the front desk to report it to the receptionist (who was extremely nonchalant). She began the process of putting us into another room and I asked to see it first. Upon entering the room, I could smell mold and mildew. However, at this point (10:45 pm), my family and I just wanted to get some sleep. My husband had to wake up at 2:30 am for work. We packed up to move into the third room when the reception met us at the elevator stating that the room was “out of service” and no other rooms were available. She told us that they were affiliated with the hotel (Courtyard) next door and we could start a reservation over there by paying upfront. Travelocity approved our refund which would take 7-10 days! We were basically homeless. The hotel refused to comp us that night at the Courtyard so we could sleep and figure the rest out in the am.
