"These classic confines are quite convenient"
I was in Atlanta for a conference at the Hyatt Regency downtown. Staying at the Artmore saved me lots of money and hassle: They offered safe, comfortable digs across the street from the Art Center MARTA station, which dropped me downtown in less than 10 minutes: no traffic, no parking fees, no hassle. The Artmore itself is a 92 year old property. As one might expect, the doors don't quite fit as precisely as they once did, and it's not 100% soundproof, but quieter than many big name hotels I've stayed at. If you need lots of elbow room, this may not be for you, but the room, though small, was comfortable, and everything worked just fine. If you choose to go with their "green" program (no daily maid service), you get coupons for free breakfast. Breakfast, by the way, is modest, but quite good, and (critical for me) with good coffee. Overall, a great stay. The staff is cheerful, receptive, and welcoming. Only complaint: the deadbolt of my door wouldn't engage (see note above about doors), though I had a chain. A quick comment to the housekeeping captain got the deadbolt problem fixed promptly. I'd definitely stay here again!
