Accommodation at Best View Wonderland
Our master bedroom with ensuite features a comfy queen sized bed with rod iron frame and library of lots of books for guest reading. The ensuite bathroom has tub/shower enclosure.
Bedroom 2 - features a queen sized bed and lots of childrens toys and movies. There is also a TV with DVD/VHS player.
The third (Middle) bedroom has a queen sized bed with TV for movie watching (DVD) and a collection of board games.
We can also provide an air mattress if you have an extra guest.

A large gathering living place with wood burning fireplace and plenty of sitting space.
We have a Wall-mounted TV - for movies only and over 120 different titles from Casablanca to This is 40. This TV also has a Roku Stick giving access to your favorite streaming channel.
At Best View Wonderland, you will enjoy the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you need and the kitchen table can comfortably seat 8.
We have plenty of board games, a huge assortment of children's movies, and legos and crafts
Outside the patio door, there is a huge deck perfect for suntanning and for BBQ.
The deck overlooks the wonderful Hawco's Pond - a Newfoundland version of a lake. 7 Miles long with plenty of interesting places to explore.
We have left most of the front area wild - allowing for an interesting assortment of bushes and berry plants. Bird feeders at Best View Wonderland property attract plenty of different bird visitors depending on the season and you can also see partridge/grouse, squirrels and Newfoundland Hare. If you are really lucky perhaps a moose will come by for tea.
We have a large lower deck, 16ft floating dock, and a boat launch area that has been damaged by ice. The lower deck is great for summertime picnics, suntanning or watching the kids play in the water.
The floating dock extends 24 feet out from the land and the water is at least 12 feet deep off the end of the dock perfect for diving into the pond or sitting down and dangling your feet in the water.
We have a large area down below to turn a truck and trailer to launch a boat or Seadoo into the pond. Hawco's Pond is great and you can have fun all day.
We also have a canoe on the property for guests to use with plenty of life jackets and we have lots of floaties for water play.
In the summer, you will be treated to amazing sunsets as the sun sets directly across the pond from the back deck only at this Best View Wonderland. Our sunsets are sublime.
-Local Activities-
Enjoy golfing at one of Newfoundland’s finest courses, The Wilds or visit Salmonier Nature Park, a sanctuary to nurse some of the local wild animals back to health.
The Salmonier Line is also a perfect starting point for trip up towards Hearts Delight or Northern Bay Sands or down around the Irish Loop. We certainly recommend a visit to St. Vincents Beach where getting up close and personal with whales is world class delight right from the shore.

Dogs allowed for 1 pet, $35 for 2 nights, $40 for 3 nights and so on...
(plus $5 after the 2nd night). 2 pets, $70 for 2 nights, $80 for 3 nights, $90 for 4 nights and so on...
We welcome dogs but unfortunately do not permit cats. This policy is in place due to specific considerations and factors such as allergies, behavior, safety concerns, and property maintenance. We strive to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for all our guests.
Wood available @ $20.00 a day 2 full bathrooms in an open concept bungalow style overlooking Hawcos Pond with full length 8 foot wide Deck on Pond side. The cabin was fully renovated 5 years ago and can be used 12 months of the year.
The master bedroom has an ensuite with a shower/tub enclosure. All bedrooms have queen sized beds
Spruce flooring throughout - nicely decorated - wonderful homey feeling.
Signs at the place remind that laughter and not always following the rules are name of the game.
The Country is within 15 minutes of a top-ranked Golf Course - the Wilds -
And Salmonier Nature Park - housing woodland creatures and a great walking
As part of the Irish Loop and close to the Baccalieu Trail, The Country is a great place to have as your home base - if you plan to hike or sightsee.
Do yourself a favour and head to Mad Rocks Cafe in Bay Roberts for their baked beans and toutons with molasses
Directions:
Exit Highway at Salmonier Line (Route 90) and at top of the exit ramp turn left toward St. Mary's and Drive 9.5 kms.
Turn right at Vineland Road just passed Dalcourt Variety on the right and before Fola's Diner on the left.
Drive 2.2 kms on Vineland Road and Turn Right on Pioneer Line
Drive 3.3 kms on Pioneer Line and Lot 142 "The Country" is on your left.
Tip - there is a cabin titled 3.2k inn - on the right - we are 0.1km beyond that 😀.
