Great Cottage
We were in town for a weekend to run a half marathon and to visit some family and friends. It was a great weekend and do a lot to our great accommodations. This house is conveniently located close to downtown and other areas of interest. Nice off the street parking. Inside was very clean, cozy and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need. There are two separate fenced-in areas outside which were perfect for the dogs. One area encompasses the front yard and a large backyard. One of the areas is within a privacy fence that has a fire pit, grill, and several seating areas. Nice place to hang out and have a meal while the dogs can roam. There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood including one next-door that seemed a bit aggressive, but there is a sturdy and secured fence between the properties. Also, that neighbor was out there often with the dog. This is not meant to be a negative or a deterrent from staying here – just want to make future renters aware as it startled me the first time we were out with the dogs and that dog was out. Host was super responsive and easy to work with. We have already told several people about this place highly recommending it. We will be back to Aiken and will absolutely stay here again.

Masters and more
We truly enjoyed staying in Aiken this weekend. Cara was a great host and helped with recommendations for restaurants, etc.. The little cottage was clean and well appointed. We were centrally located with easy access to the interstate as well as all the great food and shopping in downtown Aiken. Thank you for making our weekend comfortable.

Comfort at Trotters Cottage
4 of us spent a weekend attending the Southern Belle Classic at Stableview and chose Trotters Cottage for our stay. It was welcoming, comfortable (amazing beds!), fully appointed with pretty much everything needed by travelers. Cara was very responsive and proactive. We used gps to find it and went through some pretty rundown and sketchy areas to find it, but that was the only negative. Also, the reference address says 1760, but it's actually 1720.

Cozy cottage!
I stayed for 10 nights in January and was very happy and comfortable even in the cold weather while I was there. Nice bedding, kitchen as well appointed and the two fenced in yards were perfect for my little French bulldog that stayed with me. Cara was available to answer any questions, but I had very few because the cottage had everything I needed. I liked it so much that I’m heading back again!

Very CUTE cottage in horse country!
We were in town for a long weekend trip to shop for horses for my teenage daughter. There were two adults and one teen. The cottage was adorably decorated and comfortable for the 3 of us. We had everything we needed and just enough space for the short amount of downtime we did have. We were in a very great central location for the various farms and venues we visited. Very close to Bruce’s field and downtown Aiken. Checkin process was easy. Bedding was comfortable. Plenty of towels available. Kitchen was well stocked. This cottage will definitely be saved for any future visits to Aiken! Overall a great trip and very adorable accommodations!

Adorable cottage not in the best area
We enjoyed the little house and found it very cozy and moderately well-appointed (I do love to find coffee accoutrements such as creamer etc wherever I stay, plus bottled water in an area where the water tastes like sand is a nice touch). However, the neighborhood was completely not what I expected when the description had said it was close to Bruce’s Field …. This is an area close to the horse park that I have never seen before and that did not feel safe or neighborly. We owned a house in aiken for several years near the Green Boundary Club and I had assumed it was close to there. Silly me! Since it was just my daughter and myself, we were a little scared. The yard was nice and the area looked better in the daylight than it did when we checked in at dusk. I made the mistake of not telling the owners I had a small dog with me, but I happily paid their pet fee when requested. While the stay ended up luckily being uneventful, it was soured by he fact that daughter left her blanket to which she is sentimentality attached and which cost over $200 and the owners never got back with me (despite feeling like I was hounding them) over whether it was found. We know we left it so if it was not found that is due to a housekeepers mistake or dishonesty. That part of the stay was the most unfortunate! We were going to book another property owned by these owners for two weeks in May, but not after the blanket incident. Overall it’s a cute cottage but some aspects were disappointing

Great stay
We had to visit Aiken for a family wedding and this was the perfect location for us. We took our pups with us and the fully enclosed yard was fantastic for them. The location is extremely close to downtown with several locations for food and drinks. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was close to downtown - driving about 8 minutes or less. So many fun things to do in downtown Aiken. The host was very responsive to all our needs and offered lots of recommendations for restaurants and things to do.
