There’s a dream all-inclusive resort for every type of traveler out there. Lucky for us, our Gnational Gnomad Meagan Wristen of the travel blog Mommy Travels hit the jackpot in the Dominican Republic and found three incredible resorts perfect for a Punta Cana getaway!
After visiting many fantastic resorts in Punta Cana last week, there were three in particular that stood out above and beyond the others – Now Onyx Punta Cana, Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana and Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa. Each one is perfect for a different type of vacation! Planning for your next family trip? Looking for an adults-only escape? Ready to paint the town red? Read on, because I know just where you should go.

Now Onyx Punta Cana
Now Onyx Punta Cana is a brand new all-inclusive resort (open for less than a year) located in Uvero Alto and adjacent to their sister property Breathless, where Now Onyx guests have exchange privileges.
This resort has 502 rooms all of which have a Jacuzzi on the balcony. All of the downstairs rooms are swim-out rooms with pools in front of the terraces. If you stay in a room on the second or third floor, you give up the swim-out amenity for a view, which is fine since there are five swimming pools on property including a large salt water pool close to the ocean.
Pools are not the only thing this resort has lots of, because they also have eight bars and eight restaurants! Restaurant selections include French, Italian, and Asian cuisines.

If you want an even more indulgent and luxury experience you can upgrade to the Preferred Club for an extra nightly fee. This upgrade gets you into a larger room, an adults-only area, a better mini bar, exclusive lounges and an exclusive restaurant. The Preferred Club area has its own pool, Jacuzzi and swim up bar. We spent quite a bit of time in this portion of the resort in a room with a private plunge pool and hanging out on one of the private islands in the adults-only pool. It was peaceful and indulgent.
All guests also have shared access to the 24-hour fitness center with free weights and cardio plus the spa.

Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana
After spending only a few hours at Dreams Palm Beach, a family friendly all-inclusive resort, it is easy to see why it’s named Dreams. Being greeted with champagne and wine and dined at five bars and seven restaurants is like a dream come true. The World Cafe buffet alone is a foodie’s paradise with island after island of gourmet cuisines from around the world. Cocktail enthusiasts will be wowed by Clemente the bartender in the lobby bar. He pulls out all the tricks as he creates his signature drink, the Dominican Beach.
But the dreams extend way beyond food and drink. The property is beautiful with lush vegetation everywhere and nice touches like porch swings. There are two large pools and a hot tub for everyone to enjoy. Rooms are spacious and if you score a honeymoon suite there’s a hammock on the deck. When selecting a room, try to get a beach view. Their beach is stunning with loads of mature palm trees!

A nice option when staying here is upgrading to Preferred. They have Preferred options for families or adults only, which differs from Now Onyx where it is only for adults. Here at Dreams Palm Beach, families have an exclusive lounge with gaming tables and a private swimming pool. Preferred guests also get service down on the beach.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa
Breathless Punta Cana is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. This is where to go if you want to party. The food is excellent at all eight of their restaurants. Guests have exchange privileges at Now Onyx next door, giving them access to all of their restaurants and bars as well. The Mexican restaurant, Picante, has an amazing spicy margarita you can’t miss!

The nightlife and entertainment is why you come to this resort. They have 10 bars and their lobby turns into a full blown nightclub at night. Every Thursday, guests are encouraged to adorn their bodies with glow paint and dance the night away during the sexy DJ parties. Every Friday is a Black Light pool party with dancers, foam rafts and a DJ. Don’t forget to pack costumes because other themes include toga, Gatsby and lingerie parties.
This is the largest Breathless property with 750 rooms. All of the rooms have a Jacuzzi on the patio or balcony, and all first floor rooms are swim-out with semi private pools. For those that want a more enhanced stay, there is the option to upgrade to Xhale Club. This gets you a private lounge with top shelf liquor, two private pools, an upgraded minibar, upgraded room service menu and more.
No matter which of these Punta Cana resorts you visit, one thing is sure, you are guaranteed to experience incredible food, pristine beaches, superb service and lively entertainment. Book your vacation today!

Sorry… I missed the all weekend inclusive part. My apologies.
Thank you. This is helpful as I’m planning a vacation with my two children in July.
We are staying that the Dreams Palm Beacch this week and so far it has been one of the best Dreams resorts that we have stayed at. We love it here and will be back.
That’s fantastic to hear!
Just came back from Dreams Palm Beach, Punta Cana and it was definitely the best All
Inclusive I’ve been too! Loved everything about the place and the entertainment crew made our vacation enjoyable for all ages.
Nice! Glad to hear it was such a good experience.
At DPB now and we did preferred with butler service. Mainly because it’s helpful with the little things having two young boys with us. The resort itself is very well kept and the staff is friendly. The food is ok, not bad but not great. Drinks are great. Lots of activities to keep everyone entertained. Beach is well groomed every morning with white sand beaches and perfect weather. For us, family of 4.Biggest pro, elegant hotel. Biggest con, the nightly entertainment doesn’t start until 930pm.
That is pretty late if you are traveling with kids.
Very interesting information!Perfect just what I was looking for!
Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. However think about if you added some great photos or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and clips, this blog could definitely be one of the best in its field. Good blog!
