Wonderful family vacation!

Incredible property! The listing is very accurate and the owner immediately responds to any questions. The house was very clean with everything needed to spend time with family. We’ve been traveling and staying in many rentals over the past month, and this was our favorite location.

A Fantastic Family Getaway

What an amazing place to stay! We’ve stayed in many rental homes and this is one of the best! My husband and I traveled with 2 teenagers, 2 grandparents, and a large dog. This one floor home was easy to navigate for the grandparents and had fun loft spaces for the teens to retreat to. 10 minutes to Whiteface mountain and easy to find. Beautiful home with cute decorations - just like in the pictures. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you would need to create a great family meal. The outdoor grill, fire pit, and sauna made for a fun spot to gather around. Our dog loved it and was quite happy to gaze out the windows into the large yard and forest. Lovely and quiet dead end road to take the dog for a morning walk. We would love to return.

Amazing home! Can't wait to come back!

This rental was our "home base" during a ski trip to Whiteface (only a few minute drive from the mountain). Everything about this property is well thought out and makes you feel like you're at "home away from home." Owners were available to answer questions beforehand and even popped over during our stay when we had an issue with one of the circuit breakers. Would give more than 5 stars if I could! My entire family loved it and can't wait to return! Still talking about it a month later!

Snowy Haven

There are very few times I’m left nearly speechless when asked how my stay was but this is one of those times. This place was the gold standard for vacation rentals. Pictures don’t do the it justice as it is really in the middle of a beautiful undisturbed pristine forest area. Nature has been left to do her thing, truly a special place. I would have paid twice as much. The host really was prompt and courteous every step of the way. We usually go to Vermont to ski, this changes things for us.Grateful we found this gem.

Modern Mountain Gem

We had a wonderful stay at Blackhaus. The property is in a beautiful setting and has amazing ammenities! We loved that we were close to Whiteface Mountain to enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery and trails. Andrew is a great host that truly cares that guests enjoy their stay! We highly recommend Blackhaus with its exceptional location and modern design and decor.

Excellent summer landing pad

We had an amazing stay @ BlackHaus! Great hosts and easy check in. The house was full of extras for those with families of all ages. The beautiful kitchen aloud us to cook meals as we chose. The drink bar, sauna and game room were a nice touch. We finished 2 of the 46 peaks, road bikes up Whiteface and finished our stay with rock climbing and rock hounding in Keene. Thank you Lacey and Andrew!

Refreshing family escape with many, many extra's

Our stay was short and sweet, just 4 days, to escape and recharge. The house was bright and airy with plenty of sun streaming through the sliders providing a cheery feeling and a beautiful rustic backwoods view. We loved sitting around the kitchen island cooking, playing games, listening to music and just catching up. The master bedroom worked well for us and we appreciated the separation from our adult children and their partners who occupied the other queen bedrooms. They loved the fire pit and sauna and used it each night after skiing all day. We enjoyed the chairs by the brook and the woodland swing. The house seemed to have almost everything we needed, even an EV charger for which my daughter was thrilled that she wasn't chasing around looking for a charging location. The olympic venues, Whiteface Mtn. and the village of Lake Placid as close by and were fun to explore and grab food. Lisa G's was our all time favorite. House owners were quick to respond to questions. If I was to change one thing it would have been to ask about pets and cleaning routines between guests prior to arrival. One of our guests has trouble being in spaces that are dusty and have been occupied by animals. We swept all spaces, dusted and wiped many surfaces and washed items we would be eating and drinking from that were out on open kitchen shelves. Despite this little glitch, we had a very good time, were able to catch our breath, and look forward to a return trip.

Wonderful stay

We stayed at the property to enjoy a few days of skiing Whiteface and can’t wait to return. The property is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the mountain. The property was beautifully decorated and well kept. One of my favorite parts was the gorgeous view from the master bedroom. So tranquil and relaxing. Plenty of space for everyone!

Amazing accommodation!

This has the perfect modern cabin in the woods vibe for a weekend of hiking in the high peaks. Lots of attention to detail inside and many amenities (laundry, coffee makers, quality kitchenware, etc.) made our stay super enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor firepit and sauna combo. Andrew was great to chat with and responded promptly. It's a super cozy place to return to after long days on the trail. Will definitely aim to bring my family with young kids back. Thanks again Andrew!

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful time at the blackhaus. Owners were more than accommodating and the house was not only clean and well appointed but, also had fun interesting flourishes that kept the whole family entertained. I could not recommend this property enough.

Beautiful Home in a GREAT Location!

This home was absolutely perfect! Plenty of space for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials and had a HUGE counter which was great for dining & also game night. The owner's put a lot of thought into the amenities offered. The house was so clean, beds were comfortable & the decor was adorable! Loved the extra touches such as the Sonos sound system, fire pit and newly installed concrete patio that extends the entire length of the back of the house for outdoor relaxing (or dining). The location of the house is on a very quiet street, and is just 20 minutes or less from everything we wanted to do near Lake Placid. Highly recommend staying here!
