Our stay was short and sweet, just 4 days, to escape and recharge. The house was bright and airy with plenty of sun streaming through the sliders providing a cheery feeling and a beautiful rustic backwoods view. We loved sitting around the kitchen island cooking, playing games, listening to music and just catching up. The master bedroom worked well for us and we appreciated the separation from our adult children and their partners who occupied the other queen bedrooms. They loved the fire pit and sauna and used it each night after skiing all day. We enjoyed the chairs by the brook and the woodland swing. The house seemed to have almost everything we needed, even an EV charger for which my daughter was thrilled that she wasn't chasing around looking for a charging location. The olympic venues, Whiteface Mtn. and the village of Lake Placid as close by and were fun to explore and grab food. Lisa G's was our all time favorite. House owners were quick to respond to questions.
If I was to change one thing it would have been to ask about pets and cleaning routines between guests prior to arrival. One of our guests has trouble being in spaces that are dusty and have been occupied by animals. We swept all spaces, dusted and wiped many surfaces and washed items we would be eating and drinking from that were out on open kitchen shelves. Despite this little glitch, we had a very good time, were able to catch our breath, and look forward to a return trip.
