Awesome location

The property was beautiful and clean. The location was awesome. One house in from the beach. The downtown of Wrightsville beach was at the bottom of the street with plenty of restaurants so you could walk to most places! There was plenty of room including 3 bathrooms! We had a great stay!

We didn't want to leave!

The host was very accommodating with our requests for check-in, and check-out- which made our stay that much better! Perfect location! * Just go very slow over speedbumps and into driveway- this is with all houses & off streets there. And, if you are a towel lover, bring more. My husband and I were fine- But- two friends (out of six) would have liked more. Also, bring beach towels. They do have 4 very comfortable beach chairs that we found in lower bedroom closet- neat, new & clean! The stay, home, location and host were blessings! We hope to be back sooner than later! <3

Good if you don't want to drive anywhere and want to see the ocean.

We booked this property because it was close to the beach and easy to access to the shops. We had friends in another house. Nice for teens to be able to walk around and grab a snack or lunch. Even though it said parking for 2, there was enough parking for 3. The home was a bit dated, but very clean and nice. I would definitely come back!

Fantastic location, great hospitality

This unit is located very close to Station One on the island, just a couple of blocks from Robert’s Groceries, ice cream, a coffee shop and several restaurants. It is a second row property, just steps away from the beach access. The unit had several treats left by the manager and prior guests, which was helpful and welcoming. The wifi and roku service are good. There were plenty of extra towels and linens, and a good selection of pots, baking dishes and utensils.

Excellent Location/Family Friendly

This was our first experience booking a rental property. Check-in was a breeze and the location was excellent. It is at the heart of Writesville Beach and located right at one of the beach accesses. It is a block from Vito's pizza restaurant, Wings clothing store, and Khols ice cream shop. We are a family of 6 and had more than enough space. There was no need to clean upon arrival, however like other reviews said you have to put the linen on all 5 beds which can be a hassle if you are tired upon arrival. We did not mind however because it gave us a chance to inspect each one. Plenty of towels, kitchen and cleaning products. One plus was beach gear was provided such as chairs, life jackets, umbrella, and buckets for kids. In addition, we have a child under 2 and there was a high chair. The couch has been updated from the current picture on this site. A few things resulted in 4 stars instead of 5. There is a speed bump and small ditch located at the driveway which causes your car to scrape if you vehicle is low. No other property had it so it was annoying. There was no broom, just a vacum cleaner. The outside footshower behind the steps didn't work, so we ended up with more sand than expected on steps and porch and living room. The bedroom with 2 twin beds on the 1st floor did NOT have a TV as pitcured, just an internet modem, which was a headache because that room was for 2 children. We messaged the owner upon check-in, just to confirm we arrived, and no response. No big deal because we just may be old school and there was no need to do so however if there was a problem we weren't that confident we would get a response. Lastly, some furniture was outdated (easliy 70's/80's) such as the dinning room table, living room single chairs, and upstairs bedroom had a woodwick brown headboard. Overall we enjoyed our much needed spring break as educators!

I liked the location the most. I liked that there were bathrooms for each bedroom. I did not like having to make up five beds I'm putting all the towels in the bathrooms after driving all day to get there. I don't know what the goal of that is. I would suggest if you want to show that you changed them then leave the comforter off and folded on a note on each bed and the towels folded and laid on the counter in the bathroom. Or just asking guess which they prefer. My guess is everybody wants their beds made up. Doesn't seem like a big deal but when you're the one having to do it after traveling all day. It is not a fun way to start your vacation.

My stay over the 4th of July, 2021

I probably would give this a 3 1/2 stars if the interface allowed. There's no doubt that the location of the rental is absolutely perfect - 100 steps or so and you're on sand. It also has several views (slight to full on) of the ocean from the rental itself (so, perfect for more elderly/ feable folks not able to walk a great deal). My "beef" comes about because of several short-comings, IMO. I think the price is pretty high so save up. I've stayed at a fair amount of rentals over my 28 years here in NC, similar in location, and this was the highest I've ever paid, and my past stays were during 4th of July week. Secondly, the linens were fine, but a couple appeared to have "ink spots", so one wonders about that. The kitchen pots and pans had scratches and with teflon coating, that's kind of a big deal to us. One cushion of the L-shape couch in the living room must have had the springs underneath "broken" - one would sink deeper into the cushion than other spots, and one chair had a similar situation (fortunately, the family wasn't large enough that the chair was really required to sit in). Finally, I sent the property manager an email just prior to leaving and didn't get a response. Once in the home, I called his cell phone contact #, left a message regarding a different issue (that I highlighted urgent) but never heard back from him (luckily was able to overcome the issue on my own). So, far and away, my 4-stars (but really ~ 3 1/2 stars) are about this rental's location and its decently/ adequately furnishings inside (personally, I think this place could use a tad of an upgrade inside as listed above and maybe an appliance or two).

Home was just a described and felt very clean upon entering. It was nicely furnished with all basic needs being met. The proximity to restaurants in town and to the beach was incredible! Will definitely stay here again!

Exactly what we needed

The property was well-maintained and in a perfect location to walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. It was spacious, clean, and well stocked with kitchen utensils and cookware. Nick was easily accessible and gracious via email. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location, comfortable stay for group of 5

We stayed for 2 nights at this nicely decorated beach house. The furnishings were comfortable, including the beds, and we appreciated the deck furniture provided, allowing us to eat alfresco when the weather cooperated. The house is equipped to handle 8 guests and linens were provided with the rental. The only thing lacking (for our group- it may not matter to most guests) was larger cooking utensils, especially a decent skillet or frying pan big enough to make fish, eggs etc. all at one time to serve the group. I realize many people don't cook much on vacation but we always do, so having a few pans big enough to serve the 8 people the house can accommodate would be helpful. It would also be helpful to have a broom available to sweep the porch to avoid so much sand collecting there. I know the house was professionally cleaned before our arrival and after we departed but it was hard not to bring sand in, with no way to keep the entry way clear. Again, many guests might not think it important but we would have been happy to do a bit of cleaning up as needed. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend this rental or rent it again ourselves.
