Paid a lot for cottage with private outdoor area. Room blinds broken with no curtains in bathroom. No privacy. Was forced to change rooms because they didn’t have blinds to replace. New room did not have smoke detector. Needed to wait for maintenance to add smoke detector to occupy second room. And then shower in second room did not drain and bubbled/gargled overflowed through the toilet bowl toilet would not flush drainage that was filthy was coming from the bathtub and the toilet serious plumbing issue. Forced to change room yet another time and this time no cottage was available and given a room with less amenities. No help was given to move items. Staff at desk during check-in was very nice but staff in the evening to facilitate the move were not pleasant and actually annoyed. Another room also had similar plumbing issues and was given a replacement cottage, which happened to be my original cottage because they fix the blinds for them but yet when I asked for that room, they told me it was blocked and not available due to mechanical issues. I was lied to. they gave it to another couple instead. I have not been compensated for cottage cost. I was told the manager would compensate. I expected full refund for this serious inconvenience & health hazard situation. Only positive thing about this resort is the breakfast and the attendant at the breakfast who was incredibly kind. having to change rooms twice in a 24 hour is not acceptable. Plumbing issues are not acceptable.
