The house has a beautiful view, the hot tub was really wonderful, but the house was older than pictured. The driveway getting up is VERY narrow, with one side being a full cliff drop off. We have a large SUV and at one point in the driveway there was only about a foot of space before the drop. We have little kids so the drive in always felt very stressful. We are good drivers, grew up in rural areas, and the drive to the house was still scary. I think if you are booking this house with the intent to stay there most of the time (not being going back and forth often to Asheville) then it would be great. We like to be out and about a lot during our vacations, so this was not the right fit. The host was very responsive and communicative.

View was beautiful. Having the turkey pan and baster left on the counter was a nice touch. Ice in the freezer was appreciated. Property seemed a little tired. Some paint would help the kitchen cabinets. Info about how curvy and steep the road was would have been helpful.

Amazing Getaway

We had an amazing time at the Ciel property. The views were spectacular and the pool + hot tub were well maintained. The property was well stocked with anything we could have needed; towels, cooking supplies and even some pool floats left over from previous guests… LOL. The property owners were efficient in responding to any questions we had and they even gave some recommendations on local favorites. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking for a group getaway. We are so thankful for the Avant team for having us. They even had a little welcome basket for our arrival. While the road leading to the property is quite windy, we had no trouble ordering transportation via the AVL Ride app. I could not be happier with the whole experience, thank you, Avant Stay for a wonderful weekend filled with memories I will never forget!

Perfect for mini family reunion

A quirky, comfortable spot with an extraordinary view of Asheville from a lovely deck (or pool or hot tub). Feels remote/private but also close to everything. It made for a relaxing getaway with our family. We had some encounters with bears trying to break into trash cans and a few bold raccoons -- nothing out of the ordinary for the area, just something to be aware and mindful of especially if any of your guests are children.

Girls’ getaway

We had a great time! The place was very nice, and the views (which are not really in any of the pics) were amazing!!! You could see all of downtown Asheville from the kitchen!! The drive up included some windy roads, as well as the driveway, but the views made up for that! This place is not far from downtown Asheville (maybe 20 minutes). It was well stocked with lots of bath towels, and pool towels. I would recommend this place if you are looking in the Asheville area.

This house was spacious and clean. The outdoor area was breathtaking. From the views of the mountains, to the city skyline! The pool and hot tub were also great amenities.

Beautiful views - comfortable spaces

Awesome mid century modern home with updated kitchen- plenty of space for everyone. Very clean and comfortable with quick pleasant response to questions from host. Love this house and the area. We were 3 adult couples, 1 single adult, and a teen on this trip. We started off a little chilly (mid March) but the host provides several portable heaters, plus there is a gas fireplace in the basement and a wood burning one in the main living area. The kitchen is nicely furnished- and nice dining table comfortably accommodated our entire group. So many things to do in the area - we will definitely make another trip to Asheville.

Nice place overall, good location

Nice, large house, a tad dated. Our group enjoyed the location and space but noted the beds to be uncomfortable and linens/towels scratchy. Kitchen was nice with upgraded appliances. Good for a group, but would recommend bed/linen/towel upgrades. Views are beautiful and we enjoyed the hot tub.

Gorgeous and peaceful mountain retreat

We stayed here with my brother-in-law and his family. There was Ample room for four kids and four adults (could have fit more!) with a huge living room and dining room. But the best part of this property is the outdoor space, with breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Asheville. The pool area is beautiful and very private/quiet. We really loved our time here!

Great location for a large family

Beautiful, unique property. The property manager was polite and very responsive. Be sure to close those garbage bins hard and tight so that they latch. :) ...or the bears will surely knock them over and leave you a mess. It was a lesson learned for us on the first night. Highly recommend this place especially for larger families with kids.
