This cabin was the perfect peaceful getaway. Nestled beside the river, it was incredibly relaxing waking up to the sound of flowing water each morning. We loved the daily visits from turkeys and cows, and seeing eagles and osprey soaring overhead made the experience even more special.The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful scenery that made it easy to completely unwind. Sitting outside with coffee in the mornings and enjoying the quiet evenings by the river were highlights of our stay.Meeting the owners, Jack and Christy, truly made the trip unforgettable. They were so welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Jack shared the history of the land, which added a meaningful personal touch to our stay. The cabin also included special memories and touches from his grandparents, giving the space warmth, character, and a sense of family history that we really appreciated.If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with beautiful views, wildlife, and wonderful hosts, this cabin is a true hidden gem. We can’t wait to return.

Was so clean u couldn’t find a spec of dust from porch to kitchen and all spots in between! Everything is as good as it looks on line and feels like it’s all brand new! Fun decorating details everywhere! The river is so tranquil. So many windows!! Lovely lovely lovely. Owners came down to personally meet and offer help with anything! Could stay for a month and not get enough of this beautiful home!

It was the perfect spot for our 30th anniversary -- close to Maggie Valley & Waynesville downtown restaurants, plus a 50-minute ride to the casino hotel (which my husband had a 1-day conference at during our stay). Very clean & upscale cabin with all the right touches!:)

I can't say everything I loved about my stay here. Jack and Christy have set the bar for peace and quiet. The cabin is rustic in construction but refined. It was everything I hoped for and much more. The cabana was a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a campfire, listen to the river, while sipping wine. The inside of the cabin is so well appointed, everything I needed. To sit on the porch and enjoy the surroundings was heavenly. I saw turkey every day and a couple of deer who came down to the river for a drink. The hosts "Jack and Christy" are second to none, from warm greeting to helpful information. I hope to book this place again soon.

The cabin exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect and the cabin was just what we needed for a long weekend getaway. It has everything you could possibly need and was built and decorated with no expense spared. CastAway Cabin is a little slice of paradise! My husband and I spent a long weekend here and enjoyed every minute. The spotless cabin is cozy and comfortable and the scenery is amazing.
