I loved this hotel! It was. The rooms remind me of European hotels and were smaller than most US hotels but were complete with microwave and fridge. Bath was tiny but show head was POWERFUL and gave me a unique experience. I liked it a lot

Non representative pictures compared to the crampe

Apparently they are in the process of remodeling. We got a very small unregistered room. No lamps, only one chair, stained rug, bed was fine. Just disappointing to see the lovely pictures and to get a drab room. Sink didn’t drain without pulling the plug. No towel racks, just the clothes rack, of course no breakfast. Was our least attractive hotel and the most expensive on our trip. Neat little town with very little competition for hotels.

What a gem in a step back in time! We loved our night in Wallace and the Brooks Hotel was perfect. Excellent location, clean, all needed amenities. Go do the mining tour via trolley. Very fun!

Historic Hotel

I absolutely loved my stay at the Brooks hotel. This beautiful historic building is located perfectly in the heart of downtown Wallace, putting you within walking distance of all the best spots. Highly recommend!

Worthy of a stay here.

Cute little "boutique" hotel, old building, yet nicely re-decorated with modern amenities. Easy check in, recommendation for nearby restaurants, with an insistance we tried their restarant for breakfest the next morning. We did. Coffee and food were great, service likewise great. Close to walk the "city". We'll stay again in the future. Didn't get a ghostly visit, but the TV volume control seemed controlled by others at time, being turned down every time I turned it up, then next day volume went to 100 setting, loud, all by itself and nothing could be done to control it, so it was unplugged.

If you’re planning a stay in Wallace, The Brooks is the place - it’s super central to everything. Newly remodeled rooms, super friendly staff, bar and restaurant on-site, and situated smack dab in the center of town.

This was one of the coolest hotels we’ve stayed in! Every detail had been thought about. Thirsty towels, beautiful floors, comfy bed, and location couldn’t have been better. We were wishing we could have stayed another night or two.
Being a boho lover myself, I just loved the extra details given to the simple room key!
We were here at the end of July and the Huckleberries were plentiful. This breakfast is known around these hills!

Cool old hotel

Fun place to stay, and Wallace is a great town to explore. But room had some funky issues, like trying to figure out the AC. Really the bed should have been by the window and the “living room” where the bed was because it felt so hot to sleep so far from the cooling system.

FILTHY SHEETS AND BED

The sheets were NOT clean/changed as there was dirt, stains, and hair (of both kinds!). I immediately went to the front desk to get the situation taken care of only to find out that the front desk is managed only up until 7 pm - during high summer tourist season! I then went to the bar only to find that it too, was closed. Fortuitously, I bumped into the bartender and upon explaining the situation, she immediately went and obtained cleaned sheets. While WE were changing the sheets, it was discovered that the mattress pad was ALSO FILTHY/STAINED! Upon removing the mattress pad, it was discovered - you guess it! - the mattress cover itself was grossly stained. Because it was getting late, and with at least a clean mattress pad and sheets separating myself from the mattress itself, I reluctantly crawled into bed. First thing in the morning I went to the front desk and told the clerk what had happened. I told her I wanted my money back and that I was going to info the state health department of the disgusting conditions. She stated she had to talk to her manager: she then informed me that because I had "occupied the room", my refund would be only HALF. Further, upon checking with the State of Idaho, I find out that there is NO REGULATIOINS OR INSPECTIONS FOR CLEANLINESS OF A HOTEL ROOM! Management seemed "shocked" about the situation. DO NOT STAY HERE AS THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF CLEANLINESS WHERE A PERSON COULD BE EXPOSED TO WHO KNOWS WHAT!!!
