How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Sorrento
If you like the idea of spending more time at the airport bar and less time moving through security on your way to Sorrento, follow these suggestions:

  • Ensure your travel ID and boarding pass are easy to access. You'll need to present them straightaway.
  • Be aware that belts with metal buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you have one on, you may be instructed to place it in a tray before proceeding.
  • Ensure your laptop, phone and other electronic devices are easy to reach. These items need to be sent through the X-ray machine in separate bins.

Flights To Sorrento

Italy's most iconic resort town, Sorrento is a bustling beauty built on the side of a dramatic cliff, overlooking the clear, cerulean waters of the Mediterranean and the imposing Mount Vesuvius. Additionally, there are several buses that you can catch periodically outside the arrival gates, and at least six trips per day are made by buses between the Naples airport and Sorrento. Alternatively, though it can be a bit difficult with lots of luggage, public transportation is actually a fantastic option because it involves a fun and scenic ferry ride across the Bay of Naples. Simply take a bus toward Acton-beverello or a short cab ride to Napoli Beverello, where you can then catch the Napoli Beverello–Sorrento ferry. It will cross the bay in about 45 minutes, and you can enjoy prime views of gorgeous cliffside homes on one side and Mount Vesuvius on the other.
