Great, quiet getaway
Spent a quiet spring break here. Lovely neighborhood, walkable to beach, not much ooen closeby if you like to eat out a lot but you can drive into New Buffalo or St. Joe. Things to do with family nearby. We live enjoying a fire inside and out, comfortable sitting on deck or porch. House well furnished for comfort. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds, kitchen stocked enough. Could upgrade some cooking staples with lidded pieces or food storage (assume things walk accidentally) for leftovers (just bring your own), grill extremely clean all necessary utencils available and what you need to entertain. Ping pong table and extra room over garage fun for the kids! Second visit and we'll be back again!

End of Summer Family
Loved the house. Well appointed and comfortable. Space for family to spread out. Great area for long walks or sipping adult beverages on the front or screened in porches. The pool was convenient.

Mothers Day Weekend
The house is lovely, clean and more than enough room for family. The kitchen can use a little more cooking utensil. If you want to bake in the oven there is no pans provided for this, but plenty of frying pans. I fortunately did bring one oven pan of my own. I did not have a great experience with talking to the rep for the company VACASA. The person I spoke with was reading from a script , was not well informed, and had difficulty with English language. We did manage to get to the information I needed and all in all it was a lovely stay.

Good house, great location = almost great!
We enjoyed our experience at this house. It is very nice and big! We really liked the screened in back porch, and enjoyed having spacious rooms. Backyard feels private even though it is surrounded by other homes. Neighborhood is not far from "downtown" Union Pier and a short drive to New Buffalo. While the house is newer, it could use a few extra touches to make it great! A coat of paint on the walls would go a long way, with lots of dings, scratches, and cracks in the walls. Property has beach chairs and a beach umbrella in the garage, but no beach towels, so plan on bringing your own. We LOVE that the property was dog friendly so our dog could join us, but keep in mind that there is no grass around the home if that is an issue for your dog doing their business. One of the rooms with twin beds and futon is over the garage, and only accessible through the garage, with no immediate access to bathroom, for your planning. We really did enjoy the home and would stay again

Lakeshore Cottage Rental
We rented several homes in Lakeshore Cottages for my daughters wedding and this one was for the bride and groom so only the two of them stayed there with their dog. It was very lovely, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The day of the wedding all of the bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done at this home so plenty of room for that. We felt bad that we had to have extra cars in the neighborhood for this but the neighbors were quick to let us know where the extra parking was located. This was only for a couple of hours and the rest of the time we kept it very quiet and subdued to not interrupt the other residents. Very lovely neighborhood and residents.

Beautiful location but owners clearly don't care about the details
Upon arriving at night the interior was lit but exterior lights were off so you couldn't see the house number and it looked like someone might be home. Inside the home looks nice but as soon as you sit down you see dirt everywhere. Nearly every cup and glass had white dishwasher grime on them but someone had put them away anyway. There are rules posted everywhere but not a single note welcoming you, pointing out local attractions or restaurants or even a map to get to the beach which is close and gorgeous to visit. It snowed overnight. No one came to clear the snow from the driveway you could no longer see until almost 11 am. We had already cleared it ourselves by then. There are 8 remotes with 0 instructions. The shower door doesn't work properly and appears to be off its track. The fireplace points down and out making it a fire hazard as logs can just roll out of the fireplace. And this house is loud. The sliding door in the master sounds like an ancient vault screeching as you open it. The house creaks and pops a lot. And there's some sort of noise that sounds like a vacuum or hairdryer coming from the master bedroom. Some earplugs and a note of warning would have been nice. We loved the area. Great restaurants and locals in a great neighborhood. We would stay near here again, just not at this property.

We had a wonderful time here - going to the beach and using the pool. Plenty to do and the property was great as well!
