Falcons Nest
"Lovely setting, and wonderful opportunity to pop next door to see the raptors (and to hear them during your stay!). The accommodation is basic (think university halls of residence) but a reasonable size, the bathroom of the unit we had was huge. Bedding was clearly very clean and there were plenty of towels supplied. Bit tricky (ie impossible) to seat three people at the table - there were two chairs and a stool from the dressing table we could have used, but the table was tiny. There was sufficient crockery and cutlery for three people in our unit, but you needed to wash up frequently. The fridge was a good size, the microwave worked fine, as did the shower, though the lack of a shower curtain or screen did make you feel rather exposed while showering. Great disabled access though, and the bathroom door was widened for wheelchair access. It would have been appreciated and would have improved security to be able to park on the other side of the locked gates overnight, as you have to leave the car quite a way from the room, so access is a bit awkward. We were staying in the summer and were pleased we brought a fan with us - the windows open at the front but there is only a small window in the bathroom at the back and therefore limited opportunity to get a through-breeze. The curtains did a poor job of blocking out the light, so you will be woken by the sunshine in the summer. However, you will also be woken by birdsong, which is lovely!"
