Cozy little cabin far enough to be away

A quiet little cabin just off the road. A good retreat from daily life with nice folks to greet you when you get there. Thanks to Dave for the hospitality and showing us around the place.

We got to get away for the weekend. We went the weekend before halloween, and they happened to have halloween events in town. Less then 10 minutes to get into the town square. We had beautiful weather , so we were able to walk around their downtown .and look at he

Beware! Not as advertised!

We were supposed to stay 2 nights - we left early morning after the first night. Texted the owners to tell them we were leaving and the response we got was “ Drive safe. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day.” Never asked us why. First off, the cabin had a stale/moldy smell the minute you walk in. The toilet was not properly set so every time you flushed, water came out the bottom, flooding the floor. It’s been like this awhile as the floor is now sagging in the bathroom and on the other side of the wall in the bedroom. There is no WiFi as listed. It is definitely not lakefront. The closest water is a flood basin at the back of the property. The hot tub is the blowup kind. The water was overly chlorinated - I stuck my hand in the water and it instantly felt like it was burning my skin. Not to mention when we looked at the hot tub in the daylight, it was disgusting. There was brown film around the sides and long hairs on the cover. This was our first bad experience booking through VRBO. Not exactly the way we expected to spend our anniversary weekend. Ugh!

Great Gettaway Spot

Wife and I stayed a weekend for a quick get-away. We really enjoyed our selves. The cabin was clean and well appointed. Very quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this Cabin.

Fall hiking getaway

It was ok. Ac/Heater unit was loud and made it difficult to stay sleeping when it came on. The mattress was old and needs updated. Lighting inside the cabin needs improved. Outside grill was charcoal; would be nice if it were propane. Towels need replaced as they were old and well worn. The area was great for hiking without crowds. Updates and improvements would better support the nightly fee.

Perfect for a getaway!

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here! Dave was fantastic! He was very pleasant and gave us helpful suggestions on fun things to do. It lists no wifi but it was not an issue at all. We had cell service and there are plenty of channels on the TV but we were so busy with activities that it didn't matter. We were 30 minutes from Hocking Hills and the town of Logan which has a lot of things to do. The cabin is very cute and cozy. It was very clean and well kept. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed the cabin for a 2 night stay. The town is small and close to hocking hills providing something to do during the day. Even though cabin 1 and 2 are close to each other it didnt make it feel like there were other people that close. We would stay again for a weekend but couldnt stay a week there without movies other than the ones provided.

Weekend getaway

My husband and I reserved this for a weekend getaway. We searched under hocking hills and it was the third cabin listed. When we got the confirmation email after we booked it said somerset. Come to find out it is almost an hour from hocking hills. We couldn't cancel after knowing location because we couldn't get a full refund. However the people that own the property were really nice. Cabin was clean and we had a good time. We just didn't go to hocking like we planned.
