Guest Access: Guests have exclusive access to the cottage and have shared access to the backyard and washer/dryer amenities. The cottage is in a duplex compound with side-by-side units, so the backyard is shared with the neighboring unit. Identical sets of furniture have been set up in the backyard for each unit to use on their own. The washing machine and drying machine can be accessed via an outdoor closet located in the backyard between the two unit’s backdoors. Please be neighborly and mindful of others when utilizing the backyard! A keypad next to the front door allows for easy entry (code provided prior to check-in). Please be mindful of noise throughout your stay. Free street parking can be found directly in front of the house and on the side streets to either side of the house. Be sure to read the signs though, each side is off limits at different times throughout the week for street sweepers!
The Neighborhood: Just two blocks from Forsyth Park, the cottage is located in the middle of a lively and well maintained neighborhood in Historic District - South. There's plenty to do in any direction, with all of the notable sights of Downtown Savannah within walking/biking distance! The numerous biking lanes and crosswalks means that all of Savannah is easily accessible from the cottage. Some recommendations for nearby areas to explore are Forsyth Park, the Telfair Museum of Art, the Owens-Thomas House, City Market, and the Plant Riverside District.
Getting Around: The cottage is within walking distance to the bus stop; buses run all over downtown Savannah and even offer free rides for tourists during certain times of the day. The cottage also has plenty of street parking directly in front of it and on the streets to either side of it, if you are bringing your own vehicle. Finally, the app "Downtowner" offers free taxi services for the Savannah downtown area. Hours are limited for Downtowner however, so please make sure to check hours before planning on utilizing it
Other Things to Note: The cottage is a historic home and as such is not sound proofed to the standards of modern construction. We have done our best to provide better insulation, by plexi-glassing the bedroom windows and providing noise blocking curtains but it is not a perfect solution. If you are a light sleeper, please consider bringing ear plugs as the prime location of the cottage leads to a decent amount of road traffic!

Horrible
Had to call for check in information day of arrival. No check out information received even though I provided email, phone number month before. Dryer didn't work, timer. Not a convenient walk to river street. Experience horrible. Will stay in a hotel next time

First time VRBO renters
Check in was super easy—everything was clean—location was great—beds were comfy—hot tub was great—TV streaming use was easy—-we had no parking issues—communication from property manager was amazing—only 1 thing I would wish for is a filter for water but really no big deal. We had a great time and will be back!!
