I think it goes without saying that you know what you are getting when you go with a motel 6, but there are some cleanliness issues that need to be addressed. Odd stains on just about every wall, ceiling, and floor. Just cleaning those would make a big difference. Also had some woman screaming/vomiting/hitting things from 1am-430am one night. Police and Paramedics eventually showed up. Not much motel 6 can do about that, but it gives you a sense of the area. Oddly enough, it is in a pretty good walking location to the Railyard district, La Choza restaurant, and a 5 min drive to the main plaza and shops. If you are looking for a deal and don’t mind some issues with the room/area, it’s a good choice. If you do mind those issues then maybe upgrade to a nicer hotel.

This Motel6 is a usually higher-priced than the one on S side of town, but the rooms are very clean. This property and checkin staff is always preferred.

Pros: clean, 15-20 minute walk from plaza, food hall and restaurants across the street, hacienda hotel next door with nice happy hour. Cons: so loud, zero sound installation, adjoining doors in the room where I could hear the tv and everything the person was doing next door. You also hear all the street noise. Outside door faces a parking lot and the street. Bring ear plugs. Room is no frills. Some homeless around but area seemed safe enough as solo female.

It's a simple room but clean. I was troubled by the terrible caulking job in the tub and shower. It looks like a 7 year old did it. The shower head squirts some water sideways so it leaks down the wall if the shower curtain isn't securely pressed to the wall by the shower head

Room 120 had double beds (told they were twins) and they were very stiff, felt more like hard futon mattresses. The pillows were very hard as well. Otherwise, very clean room all the way around and towels were soft and nice; everything good.

We wanted breakfast

The young man who helped us was great!! He was knowledgeable and friendly. Rooms: Average for what is usually a cheap room. However we were in town for an event on plaza The room was tripled and doesn't even serve breakfast. Bed is very stiff. Got up with back pain. Overall: You should be able to get what you pay for.. However this time we didn't. It is Nice that there was a fridge and microwave. I'll probably stay again because of the actual room value I saw after we checked out and the event was already over with. 298 a night during events on plaza!! usually 71 a night
