Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, relaxing off the regular beat. The house was exactly as advertised, very well kept and exactly what we expected. The beach was very clean, the house and property well maintained. For two families, 4 adults and 4 children it was perfect.

Impressions

The location and accommodations were excellent. The staff was excellent. The beach was expansive and almost deserted, we had it to ourselves most days. We would definitely consider returning to the property the next time we are in Oaxaca.

Wonderful vacation in fabulous house

We had an amazing time in this amazing house. Flora and Jaime looked after us so well. The food was great and the house is luxurious without feeling ostentatious. Penny answered any questions we had for restaurants and such. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Paradise in Puerto!

Casa Colibri was everything you could want in a vacation house and more. The space was fantastic for relaxing, reading, and play! The property manager, Mauricio, was attentive and great at helping to coordinate any activities we wanted to do during our stay at Casa Colibri - surfing lessons, fishing, massages at the house, etc. We can't wait to return!

Casa Colibri has everything you need to disconnect and truly relax in the middle of nature! Wonderfull to spend some days in family or with friends, in the pool or at the sea, eating and having naps, ja !! Juana & Pablo really made as feel comfortable and at home from the first minute, with delicious food !! Would love to go back and recommend to stay

Spectacular Location, Amazing House, Grate Service!

I chose this house to celebrate my anniversary with my wife and our dog, we stayed there for 3 nights. The House is brand new, everything was clean, we had all we needed and the service staff was allways there to help us. The beach is amazingly clean and virgin. Perfect for dogs!

Absolutely fabulous place!

Casa Colibri is simply a wonderful place to stay, beyond all of our expectations! We came for a week and stayed for two. Macri and David look after the place perfectly and helped us sort out details that made our vacation run smoothly. The place is very clean with all the comforts of a wonderful vacation home. A short car ride from Puerto Escondido, a bustling town with lovely restaurants, markets and all we needed throughout our stay. The owner, Penny, provided excellent information before and during our stay. Highly recommend this beautiful place for a romantic getaway or a family gathering!

Great!

It is a great house to relax and have a nice vacation. The house is beautiful, well kept and clean. It has a beautiful view and it is steps away from the ocean. We had a very nice time, and felt at home with the excellent treatment from Macri and David. Macri cooks delicious! The town is 25 min away in car.

You will never find a better house in Puerto Escondido!

The house is gourgeous, it is fully equipped. Macry and David will treat you as KINGS! The location is incredible, the beach, the weather, the food, surfing and all kind of sports. I recommend Colibrí House for full family vacations. It is so comfortable that you never want to leave! I'm really greatful for finding the house through this site.

Just Wow!

The property was beyond expectations. On the picture it is oubviously beautiful but once you get there... Just Wow! The communications with property management was easy and efficient. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this location.

Beautiful property with amazing sunsets!

This was our second stay and Casa Colibri and we will return again. The house is well equipped and located on the best walking beach I have ever seen. It is a place where you can witness turtle eggs being rescued, whales right off your own beach, and sit under a pergola with your drink and watch as the sun goes down. Macri and their girls are wonderful caretakers and pretty good Spanish teachers! This is, without doubt, one of the best locations for a family vacation.

Always a good stay

The property is always consistent. This is our second stay. Already planning to return in April. I think that says it all. Whether you are single, a couple, a group of friends, or a family this property has it all in a very safe, friendly, and quiet environment or if you need action take a short drive in to town for all of the activities and restaurants you might want.

Spectacular house in a spectacular location. Great daily maintenance. All facilities just fine, tho kitchen equipment could be updated a little. You don’t see or hear neighbours unless you want to. Kids love the beach although the surf a little much for swimming. Great holiday.

Ahhhhhhmazing house!!

This place is just epic! It’s better than you can even imagine. Practically private beach. Awesome pool. Amazing grounds. Comfy beds. Outdoor spaces. We spent 5 nights there and hired Flora to cook. Yummy food served up with an ocean view every day. So good. 15 minute drive into town but we never wanted to leave the house.

Ideal place for a quiet beach vacation

This beautiful serene property located steps from the beach is ideal for a quiet family vacation. The outdoor living area allows you to monitor the kids in the pool while you are able to relax! There is a property manager who is extremely responsive and willing to help you with any of your needs including hiring cooks, recommendations for things to do in town etc. Daily cleaning staff come to maintain the house/pool/garden. Everything about this rental enables you to come and put your feet up and enjoy coastal living!

The Perfect Place for a Relaxing Getaway

We spent a glorious week at Casa Colibri. The property was absolutely amazing, with beautiful views of the ocean. We loved drinking our coffee in the open palapa first thing in the morning, and spent most of the day lounging by the pool and walking the beach. The rooms are bright and open, with lots of comfortable places for your afternoon nap. The staff were fabulous, and they always made sure we were well taken care of. We loved trying out the different restaurants in Zicatella, and enjoyed some of the most delicious margaritas we have ever had. We are counting the days until we get to come back!

Great experience

This place is incredible. Very comfortable. Everything works just fine. Macri and David are excellent people and housekeepers. You can switch from pool to ocean as if you're staying on a resort, but better, cause there is not people around.. The only comment is about the roof ventilator's. We had very hot days and sometimes we needed something more powerfull.

Great Ocean Front Property

With the ocean at your back door it doesn’t get much better than this! The design of the property is well thought. At any given time throughout the day you have access to shade as well as sun. Mauricio was super attentive and responded to all of our requests promptly. The yard, pool, and house are well kept. The only real downside for us was the undertow and rip currents at the beach. However, the pool is great! We spent hours hanging out/in that pool. Casa Colibri is indeed a very special place and we will be back!
