Clean, convenient, comfy stay!

Came with my partner and children and had a fantastic stay! Absolutely loved how close to the beach it is, it was clean, cozy, and loved being able to wind down in the hot tub! Will happily stay again.

Steps from the beach, modern, comfortable

This was a great spot for our family vacation, steps from a beach access point and a very quick drive to the main city of Rockaway. The property was modern with all the amenities we needed. A few things to improve: the upstart patio furniture was rusted to the point of breaking so it was unusable, the backyard wasn’t mowed/weeded which made it difficult for our dog to use, the master bedroom sheets were rough and need replacing.

Love the location and hot tub just a few disappointments

This property was a great location for us (short, easy walk to the beach) and we loved the hot tub after busy days. Overall we had a good stay but were disappointed there was no broom to sweep the kitchen/dining area (with kids it got quite messy). The house was clean but there were a lot of bugs and spiders inside the property. We also went to wash a load of laundry late before bed and found there was no laundry detergent.

Make sure the hot tub is working before booking! Cute house though.

I had called in the morning to see if we could do early check in because we were in the area early and was told I needed to wait until I got a txt for early check in approval (a Vacasa thing, their management company). Since I was waiting for the txt I went to Manzanita to kill some time, 20 minutes away. About an hour or so later the txt came in and we went to the house to check in but no key code had been sent my way. I had to call in, wait another 20 minutes on the phone to get to speak to someone for the access. The house was great! Everything was as described accept the hot tub! We chose this house specifically because it had a hot tub. To our surprise it wasn’t in working condition. Vacasa called me in the 7:00am hour to let me know they had a technician coming to let me know someone was going to be coming to work on it while we were there. When he got there he told us they had known about the problem and the home owner didn’t want to pay for the correct piece to fix it so he had to order in a temporary fix and it would not be working during our stay. I payed extra for this house because if the hot tub. There were other cheaper options I had considered but ultimately the hot tub was our decision maker. Honesty that it was not working would have been nice on the advertisement. I could have payed less for our stay and had a house just as nice.

Great location but house needs some maintenance.

Location is fantastic, just a short 3-4 min walk to the beach 10-15min drive to the Fred Meyer in Tillamook. House has a lots of kitchen items, even tupperware for fridge storage. The house has laundry, but didn't have any laundry supplies. The deck had a large hole, close to the hot tub, this was a concern for us as we have a young child. Received a call a week before our arrival to advise the Fridge is not working and would be replaced 3 days into our stay, so had to keep food in coolers until then. Delivery of fridge caused damage to the stairs, ripping off flooring and exposing nails (another safety concern) which wasn't addressed until after we checked out. House next door is under construction, so woke up to power saws and nail guns at 7:30am each morning. Couldn't get the air conditioning to work in the living room, house does get warm in the early evenings. The yard is not fenced, but there is a privacy fence around the hot tub. All the above was reported to the VACASA team. They were responsive in email/text, but nothing was resolved during our stay.

Perfect location for Oregon coast

We had a lovely stay. The place was clean, well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed, and the host kept us informed of things happening in the area (like a local power outage). Great central location for seeing all the things up and down the Oregon coast. We loved the hot tub! Quiet little neighborhood for privacy and relaxation.

Beach retreat

I enjoyed my stay. Beach access is easy, and I could hear the ocean much of the time. For those planning a summer trip, the blinds are light-filtering, not light-blocking--so there is light coming in until after 9 pm and full daylight before 5:30 am. I appreciated the labels on light switches and cabinets!

Would not recommend in the winter

I would not stay here again. The house is two floors and the bottom floor had two rooms and only one of them had heat going to it, so the third bedroom was basically unusable as it was really cold that weekend at the coast. The faucet in the kitchen didn’t have cold water, only hot water, and the fridge wasn’t as cold as you would expect a fridge to be. The hot tub and the location were nice. We ended up leaving a night early. Overall, I don’t recommend this spot and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Relaxing

Clean, kitchen thoughtfully stocked. Comfortable floor plan for cooking and socializing. Hot tub was hot (104) and very relaxing after playing on the beach. Really quite lovely. Only thing I would change is the seating in the living room. Couch and chairs were terribly uncomfortable for movie night.

Wonderful winter beach getaway!

We had such a great time at Rockaway/Nedonna beach the last week of the year. The Hakuna Matata house was just what we needed and more. Every part of the house - kitchen, smart tv and wifi, hot tub, etc. - was nice, newer, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a great time as a family.

Quiet Beach Vacation

My husband and two teenage daughters rented the house for a week. We loved the quiet neighborhood, 3 minute walk to the beach, and nearby shops and activities. The house was perfect. Lots of natural light, well stocked kitchen, large hot tub and cozy furnishings. We will be back for sure.
