VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort - All Inclusive
"The food at the buffet was delicious It was mostly dominican food. However was tricky to get drink service from waiters. The rooms at the quiet building were spacious and clean. These rooms were a little farther from the lobby but it was nice and quiet. We requested to be moved due to smell from renovations and were offered rooms at the other side of the hotel but those rooms were small and in deplorable conditions. I decided to stay in the quiet building and the smell of paint was better by the next day. We had one incident one day at the beach with one staff person from the buffet near the beach after my mom offered food to vendors. The staff person adressed my mom (who is an elderly lady) in an elevated and rude agitated voice correcting her that we are not allowed to provide food to vendors. However his tone was unacceptable and unnecessary in front of other guests at the beach. I addressed this concern at the lobby. I felt my mom was discriminated against since she is Dominican. However the same staff person did not dare to adress me or my husband with that tone when we intervened. I tried not to let this incident affect our vacation. I advised the lobby to please train staff accordingly on how to manage and treat guests in the future"
