"The facility was ok. My room bathtub stopper was not attached to the drain and when I looked the drain area was not clean and was broken so the stopper would not work properly. It was a smoke free floor, but it smelled like someone had been smoking and tried to cover it up with an air freshener. There were stains in the sheets, and I found bugs in the bathroom sink. I had multiple credit cards get denied that worked fine at the restaurant I just ordered food from and then at the hotel I ended up staying at. I originally picked this hotel because it had a 7.8 rating and a reasonable price."

"I did not stay at the Drury Inn & Suites in Springfield IL on June 6, 7, & 8 as I was unable to start my trip on the 6th due to an untimely schedule conflict. When I arrived on the 7th, I found out that the Suite that I reserved and paid for in advance, was not available and the Inn was fully booked for the 8th. The on-duty manager was very nice and tried to help me out with a room for the 7th and an offer to coordinated reserving a room for the 8th with another hotel. To eliminate the hassle of checking in and out twice, I ended up staying at different hotel. I am single and have a pet. The Drury has several Pet Guidelines which fro me, are not as pet friendly as other local establishments. The guideline stating that pets are not allowed in the lobby would make checking in and out harder. The guideline stating “Pets should not be left alone in your guest room at any time.” eliminates my ability to use the Drury’s amenities and would also make checking in and out harder. I don’t travel frequently and am naive on hotel reservation policies, but I knew when I made the reservation that it was non-refundable, so I just use this experience as another lesson learned."
