The hotel itself is pleasant and in a reasonably quiet spot at one end of Kamala Beach. Room was comfortable and staff friendly. Beach towels provided, which was very nice - as well as a hammock for the balcony, which my husband enjoyed. However, the breakfast was minimal and the pool was out of service. Workers were pounding/hammering near it; very noisy. The area (and not just near the hotel) suffers from an occasional sewer smell, but not inside the room, which was much appreciated. Be prepared for lots of tourists at this beach! All in all, if you are looking for a smaller place away from some of the crowds that has nice rooms and staff, and don’t want/need extra amenities, the Layalina would be a good choice.

Walkable flat beaches. They have a paved path to some street shopping. Bring cash as most merchant will not take credit cards. Currency exchange near by. The water is warm. In front of the motel is a clear view of the ocean. We ate breakfast there with a clear view of the Ocean. Motel property in excellent condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. Helped us with transportation to our next stop.

Lovely hotel with amply sized rooms, a relaxing swimming pool, right on the beach. Staff were friendly and allowed us to check in to our room a little early. We would definitely come back.

Layalina Hotel: Prime Location with Room for Improvement **Pros:** - Unbeatable location right on Kamala Beach, providing stunning ocean views. - The staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and eager to help, making the stay more enjoyable. - Foodies will love the nearby dining options—Ponds for authentic Thai cuisine and the wood-fired pizza across from the hotel, both of which are must-tries. - The premium suites are particularly comfortable, offering a touch of luxury amidst the natural beauty. **Cons:** - Unfortunately, the hotel is located right at the opening of a water runoff canal. While this might not bother everyone, it can be unsightly and at times, luckily the wind is strong enough so there isnt an unpleasant odor. - The beach directly in front of the hotel often has litter, mostly plastic debris washed up from the ocean, which detracts from the otherwise beautiful setting. But walk about 5 minutes down the beach and it is beautiful. **Overall:** Layalina Hotel offers a beachfront paradise in Phuket with excellent service and convenient dining options nearby. However, the sewage canal and the cleanliness of the beach are notable downsides. If these issues were addressed, this hotel would undoubtedly be a top choice for a relaxing Phuket getaway. For those considering a stay, the premium suite is worth the extra splurge for added comfort and a better overall experience.

Awesome Beachfront Hotel!

This is a great hotel! Great location right on Kamala Beach. The staff was great and took great care of us. Loved being served breakfast on our balcony. We will definitely stay here again!

We stayed in Hotel Layalina for two nights - one at the beginning of our trip to Southern Thailand, and one night a week later before flying to Bangkok - and we couldn't recommend the place more! The hotel is *very* comfortable, and clean. The location blew my mind - so close to the beach. The staff were amazing - so kind, courteous and helpful. They organised multiple transfers for us. I'm not a big fan of Kamala Beach as a whole - and I wouldn't necessarily go back there but if I did I'd definitely stay in Layalina again!! Thank you so much!!!

Staying in Kamala

A wonderful stay in Kamala. Staff was excellent, views are some of the best in the area. Location could not have been better. The only thing I feel would be an improvement would be if they were to change the breakfast menu. Staying for a number of days the menu got a little old but I must say the breakfast was excellent all the same. Had a wonderful time. All and all I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Kamala.

Excellent hotel right on the beach.

Wonderful hotel, as close to the beach as you can get without actually sleeping on it. Amazing view from the room over the ocean, which was lovely to wake up to every morning. The staff are all excellent and attentive, check in was quick and I was shown around my room as part of the arrival process. Check out was also swift and easy. I would love to come and stay again some day.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here! The hotel is right on a quiet beach, and we could enjoy our breakfast on our private balcony. The spa tub and king-sized bed were exactly as advertised. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome - we will definitely stay here again!
