Very nice hotel. Only bad thing our room was facing the very busy hwy 98 which made for a noisy stay. There are only 3 rooms on each floor facing the highway. I guess i was just unlucky or the clerk got her dig in.

The photos gave the appearance that it was on the water when in fact the water is simply attractions nearby. I arrived at the property less than one hour after booking the property. I realize my mistake. I asked to cancel the reservation and they told me that I had to go through Expedia. Expedia called the property to get authorization to cancel the reservation. The property manager, refused to give them authorization to cancel my reservation so I could book at another Marriott property on the beach. As a result, I have spent my last dollar with Marriott despite having spent over $10,000 at Marriott properties in the past 12 months. If you want to be near Pier Park and all the shopping then this is a great property. Just know that there is a lot of road construction around the property so it’s not exactly convenient at the moment.

The room was smaller than expected but it was clean. Couldn't walk around the bed after the sofa bed was out. It was difficult to get fresh towels, housekeeping came every 2 days. Breakfast was not good all 4 days i was there. The location was great. Right next to pier park & pirate voyage.

If you stay please request a 4th floor room we was on the the 3rd floor and the room above us had kids and or a dog but it was somebody or something up there running all night and day that the only thing that was wrong with my trip. The stay was great I had a wonderful time at the property now the breakfast was not as good as it could have been need to upgrade menu items in near future. Maybe add a waffle iron or something.
