family vacation

Overall, the property is excellent! There was plenty of space inside and out. We appreciated the use of watercrafts and enjoyed the fire pit. However, the patio furniture on both levels needed cleaning and the charcoal grill is only 14.5" X 14.5", which is small for a family of 8.

Nice little getaway

We had a great time getting together with family! Our nieces enjoyed the water, canoe and kayak. We were able to grill out too. The location was a bit lackluster but the water view made up for that! The beds weren’t the most comfortable unfortunately but the rest of the house was beautiful! Redone nicely!

Girls trip

The stay was great, the locals were great. The cabin was great, just a couple suggestions. First it would have been nice to have the correct code for the door when we arrived, the first step going up the fro t steps is a High step, it would be great to adjust that with more than gravel that has washed away. The steps off the deck by kitchen door could use some TLC and the website could use a update on what is in the kitchen for cooking. Also I feel like for the cost of this rental, firewood should be included.

August visit

Our family enjoyed the cabin. We spent a lot of time on the dock fishing. We also took out the kayaks and boat on the lake. Life jackets are at the cabin for use. We used the campfire a couple times. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the Dells and we did that every day for various activities. The cabin was well stocked. We didn't need to run to Walmart for anything during our stay. Lots of different spaces in the cabin to hang out, in addition to the 3 bedrooms. Pictures are accurate. I would recommend this cabin, especially if you want to be away from Dells traffic and enjoy a nice lakeside cabin.

Great Stay, House Is As Advertised

This house was as advertised. It was very clean. Having the rowboat and kayaks was great to entertain the kids and go fishing. While there is not much to do in the town, getting to the Dells takes about 25 minutes which is an easy drive.

Good overall with a few improvements needed

Our stay at McGinnis Lake had positive and negatives. The lake itself has a very mucky bottom and so our first destination was into the Dells to buy everyone water shoes. Our granddaughters did enjoy all the little fish swimming around the dock and we definitely loved used all the boating options and the fire pit. The bedrooms with bathrooms on each floor worked well for our family. There was only 3 hooks on the back of the main bathroom door for towels with neither of the other 2 bathroom with even a towel bar so we ended up using chairs and railings for towels. We love to cook together while on vacation and the kitchen had the bare minimum for pots, pans and serving so we had to become very creative to make things work.

Relaxing Vacation

Listing as advertised, house was clean and well maintained. On small lake, kayaks were provided, which was nice. Close to Wisconsin Dells, about 30min drive. Plenty of room in the house for everyone to have their own space.

Beautiful A-frame with plenty of space for everybody to vacay their way. 8 miles to town in case you need something. We'd love to go back.

Nice surprise. Peaceful retreat.

Great place. We will definitely rent again as we frequent this area to visit family. Some minor TLC needed and door maintenance as sliders and screens to spacious deck are a bit difficult.

Hidden Gem!

This house is wonderful!! We enjoyed fishing off of the dock and using the kayak, row boat, and canoe! It was close enough to the Wisconsin Dells to check the experiences off of our list but located on a quiet, serene lake! It was a beautiful setting and the house has everything you might need other than food! We had a great time!
