So I am between houses and wanted to spend some time by the water. So, the place was clean, I made it work, was settling in for a long stay. If all went well, I could manage, it is cozy small but fine. Well, we got a terrible cold snap - and the heat pump broke down! Hey sh-t happens, I'm very reasonable. But management of this condo, Big Fish Rentals, was useless. They sent a maintenance guy who apparently sent for an AC guy. I was out, so I didn't know what was happening. I texted management (they don't do phone calls) and they said they would follow up. Well, it was 50 degrees in the condo and dropping, as the weather was going down to 25 degrees. I sent panicked texts, nothing. Crickets. Eventually the maintenance guy came with a heater. I sent irate texts and all they could say was AC guy coming back next morning, "we apologize for the inconvenience". More than an inconvenience, it could be life threatening to have no heat! Well, AC fixed next day, and then w days later the whole building lost power! I mean what?? Big Fish texted me at 5pm saying they had to cancel my reservation, checkout time is 10am. I mean, I had to find a new place, pack up my entire life's belongings in the dark and cold. And zero mercy from the automated 10am departure. Cold lifeless robots run Big Fish, I cannot stress enough that I'm experiencing a serious glow up getting out of there and getting a different place. Avoid Big Fish properties! And they have the temerity to request a glowingreview!
