My stay at this hotel has gone from bad to worse in a span of three weeks. I was unfortunate to book a stay at this location again due to timing of needing a room in Brooklyn to visit family. I booked for a King bed with a view of the Verrazano bridge two weeks before I arrived. I get to the hotel a bit late and they tell me my room is not available due to over booking and guests not leaving their rooms because they decided to stay extra days (I smell horse **it). They book in a double bed (full bed) room. I get to the room only to find the bathroom sub partially cleaned with feces stains still in the toilet. My spouse was so turned off, she wanted to leave the room that night but I was to tired from driving from Maryland to NY to even look for another place to stay so late at night.

Disappointing experience at Holiday Inn
Location is good but service and amenities are pretty bad. On our second day we asked them to clean our room and refresh our towels after we left in the early evening and when we got back it still wasn’t done. We had to wait an additional 45 minutes to get the towels so we could wash up for the night. On the fourth day we were out all day and removed the do not disturb sign and no one cleaned the room. To top it all off, on the last day, we tried to catch an elevator downstairs for 15 minutes, and every time it came to us it was too packed to fit us and our bags, we ended up having to walk down 7 flights of stairs with our bags. Uber gave up and left us. I feel like at this price point we should expect to have basics like clean rooms and elevator services. Seems like there’s plenty of other hotels in the area, and IMO these are worth checking out before Holiday Inn. Just seems like their in over their heads a bit and can’t meet basic expectations for customers at this point.
