Beautiful hotel with comfortable beds. Kept up very nicely and extremely clean. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of charm while also being convenient in its amenities.

This is a very clean, basic, affordable , and lovely hotel. Its location is ideal for Midtown Manhattan. It’s basic in that there’s few amenities. No workout room, fridge in the room, etc. It’s also older. They have real metal keys, for example. But it was clean throughout the hotel and the staff is kind and helpful. It’s also near about a million things to do. So if you want a clean place to stay while you dig into Manhattan, this place is great.

You get what you pay for, in a good way.

This quaint little hotel is located just a block west of the St. Patrick's Cathedral, and two blocks south of 5th Avenue/53rd Street Station. That means it's accessible from both JFK and LGA airports, and close to attractions such as Broadway and the Rockefeller Center. The building is a bit old, but that makes it charming. Room keys are still metal keys that go into the doors, and turning it to open my room was a bit tricky. The beds and TV were of good quality, but the bathtub still had some dust and hair from either a maid or a previous guest inside. Nothing a quick rinse on my part couldn't fix, so I won't complain. It's pricey to stay in this part of NYC, but you definitely get what you pay for. If I ever have the privilege of visiting NYC again I'll try to book this place again.

3 West Club is my favorite property in New York City. Price is the only thing that would prohibit me from staying there for every visit but the cost is very much in line with comparable New York properties. Excellent in every way!

This was a great hotel located in a perfect part of Manhattan. Loved the historic charm, but it was updated to be comfortable. Staff are all helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.

Friendly Staff and Comfortable Room

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I liked the central location. I would have liked a small refrigerator in the room, but other than that I was extremely satisfied.

Positives: comfortable bed and bedding. Clean room. Good towels and toiletries. Room on 8th floor was away street but noisy in the morning from staff break room traffic and uncarpeted floors, noisy in the evening from moving chairs on the 9th floor public room. Poor electrics, lack of outlets, aging furniture, inadequate lighting and weak water flow in bathroom.
