The service was amazing the entire time. Food was great and so many options. We missed dinner one night and the lady at the feont desk got us a reservation for the steakhouse for the next night which was in high demand. The transportation was great too and very readily available all the time. Clean place, drinks good and close to downtown. Definitely would go again and stay longer

I don't typically complain about hotels or leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at the Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island during my third visit to the Bahamas was deeply disappointing. Throughout our stay, our room had a persistent and unpleasant sewer odor. Compounding this, water continuously dripped from the bathroom vent, directly onto my head while I was using the toilet. I contacted the front desk for maintenance, but after an hour, no one arrived. It took a second call, 20 minutes later, for a technician to finally appear. He speculated the leak was from an upstairs unit and promised to investigate and follow up, but he never returned, and the vent continued to leak. Beyond these issues, we noticed that our sheets were never changed by the maid service; the bed was simply made without fresh linens. To make matters worse, we discovered a cockroach crawling in the bathroom the following day. Thankfully, we were checking out the next day, as I don't believe we could have tolerated another night in such conditions.

This was an exceptional experience. Hospitality plus! Buffet food options were multicultural. Restaurant reservations were easy. Rooms clean, comfortable and well stocked. Pool and access to the beach easy to use. Convenient location to straw market or other excursions with a short taxi ride. Whole experience start to finish was wonderful.

This is a decent all inclusive in Nassau. Its a smaller property, which was a good thing. Easy enough to get around and enough activities to keep occupied. Things are close and easy to get to. Good drinks, but food was just OK. Dinner reservations are tricky, especially for a shorter stay.

Legit review here!!! I’ll also add a 1-10 score. Ten being best score- traveled to many higher end places both inclusive and non inclusive The RIU at the end of the day is an OK spot to stay. Here are the details Food: Basically their best option is the Buffett food. The restaurants are not good. Trust me. Make reservations at ATLANTIS and enjoy a real dinner. Snacks were pretty bad and unappetizing. Grade : 7.5 Drinks- average drinks. Nothing top shelf. But all inclusive so enjoy not paying for as many as you can handle. Grade 8 Pool scene- pool area isn’t the cleanest, nothing much to report here, mix of musics. Nothing too crazy. Service isn’t great, no cabanas etc , very basic. Grade 7.5 Beach- beautiful beach. Can’t eat on beach, that was a killer . But you can drink. Tons of jet skis and people asking, overall was ok because the water is beautiful Grade: 9 Rooms- all are OK. Definitely are Dated- they were consistent with house keeping and rooms were clean. Try and get oceanfront room. The view was nice - grade: 8 Gym and spa: gym needs big upgrade. Old equipment. Spa same. Such a shame as they can be so much better. Grade : 7 We basically enjoyed breakfast, a few drinks and some beach time and spent alot of time going to Atlantis and enjoying the resort there. Everything is just better there. If you don’t mind decent food. Decent drinks. Decent room. And just want a good beach. Then RIU IS for you.
