The staff is the only reason I will give a 3 stars! Because they was helpful and kind! The food disgusting and same food everyday! Very limited restaurant on property and it was a hassle to make reservations we was a group of 8 everytime difficult and no reservation available but when we got to the restaurant it was empty smh. The entertainment boring !!!! No energy! No hotel dirty run down while we on the pool area the balcony started collapsing!! In my room two roaches yuck !!!! Expensive and very cheap everyting don’t recommend at all !!!!!

Rooms need upgrades . If you like damp floors all the time, damp sheets, drawers broken then Riu is your place. Staff excellent, food very good in the Atlantic but the special restaurants forget it! Beach wonderful.

Super close to the beach, rooms were nice and resort was pretty. Staff seem unfriendly at times; had better experience with the locals and taxi people. No one told us they don’t serve lunch although it is all inclusive. Also have to reserve at the other restaurants in the hotel which no one told us about, so we only ate at 1. Overall very nice and would go back.

We have stayed here once before. We love it for short trips, but would love to see better air conditioning, early coffee shop hours, a gift shop. Our trip was great and we do like the RIU, just not a top notch resort

I am very disappointed with the check-in services. We were not given a tour of the resort or any guidance on where to find the buffet, our room, or other facilities. Instead, we were simply told to find everything ourselves. On top of that, my belongings were stolen from my room. I went to the front desk several times, and each time I was told that someone would reach out to me. Unfortunately, I never received a call or follow-up before I left. This experience was very frustrating and unacceptable. I do not appreciate how this situation was handled, and I will never be staying at this resort again.

I just got back yesterday, and we were deciding between Riu and Atlantis. I would all day long choose Riu any day of the week! Everything was amazing from the infinity pool looking over the ocean, to the 24/7 food/drinks. Staff was beyond amazing! I will be returning! Thank you Riu Palace!!!

The resort gave me the wrong suite. They tried to fix it with a downgrade all the mirrors have stains on them. The rooms are outdated. If you’re looking for a turnup hotel this isn’t it. There’s no DJ during the day, no real activities like normal RUI hotels. The hotel is extremely small. No store, no club to party or anything. The reservations for dinner horrible. No one explained how to go about that at the front desk. You need to have better breakfast meat needs for customers who don’t eat pork. It limits what a person can eat. The hotel closed down at 11pm you might as well say. I felt catfished staying here based off pictures. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone unless you’re 65 and up and wanna chill extremely hard. You can literally walk the whole resort in 5 mins. They never even mentioned that you could go to Atlantis. I found that out via another customer.

Highly recommend for a relaxing yet fun stay. The buffet food is really tasteful and the bartenders and servers are really friendly and polite. I would definitely come back to this resort for a get away.

We had a great time at the Riu. The staff was great and the food was good. The only disappointment was they did run out of tequila for two days and the rooms are outdated but overall it was good. The beach was beautiful. And it’s easily walkable to the Atlantis next door. They also have restaurants within walking distance.

1. The room we paid for was not what we got. The description was "superior ocean view." We were given a partial ocean view. 2. The buffet had the same food every night. 3. There was no ATM, gift store at the hotel. 4. The food was not hot, it was luke warm.
