"Our room had a weird smell to it, closet handle fell off during our stay, and was upset with how fast they took breakfast away one of our days. "Villa Cardak was wonderful. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. The air conditioning was also very welcome given how hot Mostar gets. The host was lovely! She was friendly when welcoming us to the Villa and permitted us to check in an hour early (something for which we were very grateful). She also brought us a glass of lemonade upon check in which was a lovely touch. She gave great tips on what to do, and also offered to let us store bags and to book us a taxi upon check out. The location of the villa is incredible - very close to everything in Mostar's old town. My only criticism is that the property is advertised as accepting Visa and MasterCard. The host was quite adamant that cash was their preferred payment option and really applied pressure for us to pay this way. I had to really push back before being allowed to settle my bill by card. As an international tourist, dealing with different currencies, this is something that is very important to me when choosing where to stay. (Minor point as the rest of the stay was great - but worth mentioning)."
