The view was stunning, however the cleanliness and other small issues we had were underwhelming. The sheets and throw pillows had hair on them, one of the toilets had what appered to be blood on the seat, my husband got someones elses hair on him in the shower, I wasted hot water attempting to take a bath just for the jets to shoot out what appeared to be black mold, the light on the balcony didn't work, the recliner didn't work, the main outet near the bed was messed up. We also got locked out of the room in the hallway with our hands full even though we paid for the late checkout in advance. The tv in the bed room was hard to figure out, it had a remote that made it seem like it was gonna be a smart tv but it was only cable, wifi worked good though.

Great location

Nice location right on the beach! The cleanliness could have been a bit better…. Floors were a bit grimy and turned the bottom of our feet black. The tub was jetted, but the jets needed a deeper cleaning as they had some mold in/around them so we didn’t use them. We also killed two small roaches in the kitchen during our stay, but never saw anymore anywhere else so hopefully this is not a problem in the future. The furniture and beds were all nice and comfy and the coach bed was comfortable as well! We loved the balcony and looking at and listening to the ocean day and night.

Very disappointing

This condo was dirty and I was very disappointed. There was a broken glass in the cabinet that could have hurt my 9 year old if I hadn't examined it first. There were some kind of red stains all over the bottom portion of our bed. Scuff marks all over the walls. Our jacuzzi bath had a huge hole in it and we weren't able to use the jacuzzi because water would go everywhere. We had a large amount of rain the first night and the drive in and out of the condo flooded and we weren't able to leave for over 24 hours. They were remodeling the building and there were workers and sharp pieces of metal and concrete everywhere. Stayed at the same resort but different room last year and had no problems. This year was a different story. Tried contacting the owner via email and got a message stating that I would be hearing from someone down in Florida about my concerns and no one ever reached out to me.

Need to clean

Let me start by saying I love Windnacer. This condo was nice but it was not clean like you would think it would be seeing how it was cleaned before 11:00 and I couldn’t check in until 4 With that being said the floor was dirty around the recliner it was not moved to vacuum or sweep. There was food on the recliner so it was not wiped down. There was a pink substance on the head board looked, like kook aid or some type of drink and it was not cleaned which also was all over the sheet covering the box spring. Not the fitted sheet or flat sheet so that was not taken off and replace with a clean one. The freezer door was not even shut good. Luckily my husband fixed that! The basket was not in correctly which was making the door not shut. Why didn’t housekeeping call and get that fixed if they couldn’t fix it then selves so it would be good for the person coming in. Yes i called Vacasa about it immediately so why couldn’t they? There was no hair dryer in the condo which was a first for me. My thinking is if your house keepers are supposed to be taking their time to clean because of covid, then they need to take their time!! We got there early, and called to check in, I got there around 11.00 and had to wait till 4 literally. at a quarter till 4 they would not unlock the door for us. This place should be clean!!! I figured we couldn’t get in that early and that was fine with me. My husband and I packed a beach bag and changed in the bathroom. Enjoyed the beach that day as well then went and unpacked when we could get in the condo. I hope this helps.

Will not stay again

Let me start with I have never given a bad review. I own rentals myself and stuff happens. You just try to fix as soon as possible and make the client happy. This unit was missing essentials like a hair dryer, working microwave, no internet, broken cabinets, rusted registers, broken floor tiles. We spent a pretty penny to stay here and the couch was so nasty I wouldn’t even sit a bag on it. I called for assistance regarding internet multiple times with no response. Save your money people.... don’t stay here.

Perfection

My husband and I were able to get away to Destin for a few days in late February. We can not speak highly enough about this property. We felt as though we had found a diamond in the rough. It is down far enough that you aren’t surrounded by tons of people but still centrally located to be to anything within 10 minutes. We did have an issue with WiFi and our microwave was broken. We reached out to the company and did not receive a response back however, this wasn’t an issue for us. We spent most days by the ocean and nicely heated pool. This was our second time to this condo and plan on making it a yearly booking.

Great trip

This condo was just exactly what we needed. It is a very short walk outside the condo to ocean front, great beach chair service, and close to places to walk or bike to for eating. We really only slept in condo, the rest of the time we were enjoying the great fall weather in Destin.

Not the nicest condo in the building

We have stayed in Windancer for several years and this was the most disappointing unit so far. The couch mattress was horrible (I know...they typically are....but this one was really bad) and should not have been counted as a suitable sleeping arrangement. The unit is cluttered with decorations that make you feel like you're in a thrift store (sometimes less really is better). The patio furniture was less than appealing, the side table was supposed to be white, but was black dirty/moldy. The bathtub area had missing paint spots on the wall and several areas of mold patches. There looked to be mold spots above the twin bed area as well, but could have just been a bad paint job. Maintenance on this unit seems to be at the very minimal. Kitchen had the very basics. Coffee pot leaked, but ResortQuest was responsive in fixing. ResortQuest had their WiFi in this unit and it was not good....could not get a strong signal in the bedroom and kept going in and out, not reliable. Other than the unit itself, Windancer is a great place and comes with beach chairs/umbrella service. We love it here, but will not stay in this unit again or go through ResortQuest.

Super affordable, cute beach front condo!!

This place was so nice!! We booked last minute and still got a great price! It's in a perfect location across from the outlets, and has a beautiful beach front view! It's bigger than it looks in pictures and is adorable inside!! We slept 6 adults comfortably! The rental office was very nice and check in was easy! Ha a great time!!
