Awesome condo across from a phenomenally good beach

This was a great condo in a building with great amenities. The pool was very nice and there is a good sushi restaurant on the property. We had a couple of issues with the building's air conditioning system but the owner and maintenance personnel responded very quickly and resolved the issue. I am very happy with our stay and experience with this owner.

Miramar Beach Getaway

The condo was great. It was a good location with access to the beach and resort pool. Kathy was very responsive. The resort was doing maintenance on the AC unit, and Kathy informed me promptly about the work. Overall, it was a very nice place and I would stay there again.

Excellent location and attentive owners

This is an ideal spot to be in the middle of things, near a pool, and a walk across the bridge to the ocean. Having two chairs and umbrella included is worth everything! The owners also have lots of beach chairs, etc which is nice. The condo needs updating, and really needs to be considered soon, but easy to overlook because of location. The owners are so on top of everything, and easy to get a hold of which is great. I also love having a garage. Only significant issue for me was the AC in the primary bedroom isn't very good, so that room ran about 5 degrees hotter at night. This is a great place for a small family, and we appreciated our stay.

Great stay for summer vacation

The property was just as described. It is a large condo with bedrooms on the opposite ends of living space. The condo was well supplied. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our week. The beach is gorgeous also! Spent most of our days there. The only down side I can mention is parking.

Great place for a Family Vaca

Beautiful Condo. Love all the amenities that Surfside Resort has to offer and easy access to the beach with chairs and umbrellas set up for us. We will be back! We did have one minor issue when we tried to get our free chairs on the beach that come with the unit. We were told we would have to pay for them. This was not Kathy's fault and she resolved this issue for us quickly.

Convenient Getaway

Chuck and Kathy made everything easy for our week-long getaway at Surfside by the crystal clear waters of Miramar Beach. The condo was perfectly situated—just one floor up from the pool (perfect for our pool-obsessed toddler, especially on days when a jellyfish or two scared her away from the beach) and the building's restaurant. Beach access was very easy and getting luggage for four adults and a child up and down from the condo was a breeze thanks to the abundant carts and short distance. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciate the thoughtfulness of Kathy and Chuck in furnishing the condo so well for families. Recommended.

Great location

We love to stay at Surfside in Miramar Beach-best part of Destin IMO. Beach bar, on-site restaurant and a beach bonfire at least once a week. Very well equipped kitchen in this condo-spices, olive oil, Pam and other basic pantry items you don’t expect in a rental.

Loved our stay. The unit was well stocked from kitchen to beach stuff. Walkway access to beach was great and location on Miramar beach was convenient. The beach service was a nice perk! Only criticism was a little trash, had to buy batteries for remote, beds could’ve been more comfortable, and unit located above maintenance meant it was loud at times. All in all would stay here again.

This was our 3rd year in a row staying here.

Wow is all I can say. This condo is great and in one of the best locations. They have a restaurant on site and a beach bar across the street right on the beach. The owners Kathy and Chuck are easy to get along with and do everything they can to get everything you may need. The kitchen is fully stocked. They even have extra beach chairs, kids toys, and they provide 2 chairs and an umbrella already set up on the beach during peak season. Love this place. I feel like we leave a piece of ourselves there when we leave. Thank you Kathy and Chuck for providing one of if not the best condo to stay in on the beach.

Great Condo!

This is a great place to stay. Everything was as described in the listing. I really liked the fact that the bedrooms and bathrooms were on opposite ends of the condo AND that they had a lot of stuff we didn’t have to buy. Sugar, coffee, etc. it seems most people leave their non-perishable food as well as non-food items and it was so nice. Another thing I loved, is the condo stayed nice and cool! The restaurant downstairs had pretty good food and they have an ice cream shop within walking distance. I wasn’t a fan of the bridge across the street, too many steps to go down! LOL It was MUCH easier to just cross the street especially with all the stuff you’re hauling for the grandkids! We really enjoyed our stay! Kathy was great! Answered all my questions. No complaints here folks!

Family Vacation

The location of this condo was perfect (beach access) and we had a wonderful week spending time together. The only thing I would say is that the balcony is located right above where the employees and the residents who reside there come and go so sitting on the balcony wasn’t as relaxing as we had anticipated. Kathleen was quick to respond to all my messages!

A nice condo right across the street from the ocean. It had everything we needed for our week. I will say the building itself is in need of some interior paint and new carpet as it seems a tad dated. Also, the pool was very small for how many condos are in this building. I’d stay here again as this is just me nit picking. Anytime I reached out to the owner of this condo they responded immediately. Close to a lot of things.

Beach Vacay

Overall the owners were amazing to work with. There were some minor issues and when I texted the Kathy she called immediately and handled everything in a matter of minutes. Pros: The location was absolutely perfect and I’m very thankful that the owners include the chair service with the rental. Not all of the units in that building do. We found out when our friend who had rented another unit got there and had to pay for chair service! The condo was well stocked which we again really appreciated. Plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, and even some basic seasonings and dry goods like sugar and flour. Cons: The balcony is on the west side of the building and doesn’t get much of a breeze. So if you like to be on the balcony, it gets warm quickly. Only 1 fan in the master. The guest room doesn’t have a fan. We are fan lovers in our family for when we sleep so that is just a preference. The restaurant on-site is amazing. We got to try it, but you smell it anytime you are on the balcony since the unit is right behind the restaurant. If you don’t spend much time on the balcony, then no big deal. Suggestions: Some Command hooks in the bathrooms would be nice on the back of the doors to be able to hang towels, suits, etc. There are bars to hang towels, but when you have 6 people in a unit those fill up quickly and could be a cheap/easy addition. Fix the rollers on the master shower door. It constantly gets off track really easily and hard to manage.

Awesome stay!

I booked this condo because of its excellent reviews, and this place lived up to its reputation! The hosts were so kind and responsive; this is easily the smoothest check-in process I have ever had at the Beach, and I usually visit this area several times a year. Condo was spacious and charmingly decorated. The hosts were considerate with what they provided, and it was conveniently located to the beach and pool area. I would definitely book here again!

Perfect location for our family! Close to the pool and easy walk to the beach! Loved having the beach chairs/umbrella set up, the beach toys in the closet (we added to the collection!), cooking supplies, bbq setup, and more!

The Easiest Vacation We've Ever Taken

Good stuff: * Host was super good at communication and preparation. Even potential problems were covered in the pre-stay info and on site instructions. * Property was clean and well stocked for our arrival. * On site restaurant and bar were excellent and there were others within a short walk. We did not get back in our vehicle from the time we arrived until we left. * Beach access was easy and convenient. Beach chairs and umbrella were included and set up for us each morning. * Staff was gracious and helpful. * While there was an ice maker in the fridge, there was also an ice maker at the facility we used to fill our cooler for the beach. (Operated by a single quarter, and they also have a change machine) * Second bedroom has its own access to the hall and a privacy door separating it and the second bath from the rest of the unit, meaning if you have multiple guests they can have privacy. Things other visitors may want to know: * Room has a great balcony but it does not have a great view. It does not really look out over the Gulf, but over the pool and a parking area. If that is important to you, then this is not a good property to rent. * There is a code necessary to enter and leave the beach area. There are ways to get around the code, but make sure you have it with you when you leave the unit. * If you use streaming services, the televisions can allow you to sign in and use them. You will want to make sure you have your username/passwords if you want to do that. Overall it was excellent and we are considering renting this unit again if we come back to Miramar Beach.

The Best Full Service Resort!

Wow! All I can say is this place had it all! Felt like home the first step into 207.., so clean, had everything we needed to go immediately to the beach. Thank you for the chairs and umbrella all week too. You must check out this resort, private walk over to beach, tiki hut, food, gym, spa and so much we did not explore. Lovely view of the ocean even though you are not actually on the beach. Very quiet and great parking deck. Very secure with a private security guard too. 5 Star all the way!
