Beautiful property!

The house was beautiful, clean and had all the necessary supplies/dishes/etc. and the backyard porch was great for relaxing. Joan was very prompt in communications and arranged our temporary street parking passes, which was greatly appreciated! The location/neighborhood was convenient for going everywhere we wanted and we never had an issue finding a parking spot on the designated street. The only downside (the only teason we didnt give 5 stars) was that there was a lot of street noise at night (people driving by with car stereo volume cranked way up) which made falling asleep somewhat tough.

Unique properly and a wonderful stay

We had an incredible 3-day stay at this beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright home in Milwaukee. The architecture and design were stunning—truly a unique and memorable experience. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for our visit.We heavily used the kitchen during our stay, and it met all our needs. It was well-stocked, functional, and made it easy to prepare meals and enjoy time together in such a special setting.The host was exceptional—responsive, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great stay. A small issue came up during our visit, and it was resolved quickly and professionally. We really appreciated the attentiveness and care.Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a special and seamless stay in Milwaukee. We’d definitely come back!

Family reunion fun

This was a such a lovely house as a center of our reunion. We came from four states to MKE and it gave us a wonderful meeting place for the WI folk to visit. So much history. Also very convenient for all our city explorations.

We loved staying in this property on our Frank Lloyd Wright weekend! It’s a two hour drive from Taliesen, but really helped the weekend feel complete to stay in this spacious house that was right on theme. We loved all of the details and the kind host.

Great FLW experience!

Communication with the property manager was excellent. Fabulous opportunity to experience a FLW home. The property could be challenging for seniors because there are no handrails associated with the steps in and outside the house.

What a treat to stay in this historic house!

My two friends and I were on a Frank Lloyd Wright tour and were delighted to be able to stay in this house in the Burnham Block (six houses he designed) in Milwaukee. The house is spacious and the beds are comfortable. The two and a half bathrooms gave us privacy and were convenient. In the kitchen we found everything we needed for preparing meals. It is charming and a delight to stay in.

Baseball Trip

Our group was visiting from out of state with the intention of going to a Brewers game. As FLW enthusiasts, we were eager to stay at this property. Our group enjoyed the house tremendously. There was plenty of space to relax, as well as plenty to marvel over. We understood the lack of parking and that parking would be unique, but Joan made the process incredibly easy. Our only wish was that we had more time in the home! Thanks for a great visit!

We enjoyed our stay in this early FLW house. Clean and well kept. The owners were easy to communicate with. There is not much around the house of interest but it's convenient to downtown Milwaukee. Really nice to stay in a FLW house.

Historic Location

This place has so much history and was amazing to see up close. The hosts were great to deal with and very responsive. Parking is plentiful and easy, just make sure to follow the odd/even schedule. The street can be noisy at times, and the front bedroom can pick up the noise, but it was not anything that kept me awake. We stayed with a group of friends, and everyone was comfortable. If you're attending an event at American Family Field, this is a great place to stay and catch a taxi, especially if you have a larger group.

Home is in good condition. Very special due to its design. Could use some additional cleaning to remove dust and webs around doors and windows The hardware for the deck doors need repaired. Shelves or small tables in upstairs bathrooms would help. Easy to get where we wanted.

Nostalgic ambiance

Charming home with distinct and authentic vibe of FLW. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, lots of space to sit and chat. The only thing standing in the way of a 5-star rating is the lack of driveway and the noise of local traffic, otherwise a very special stay in Frank Lloyd Wright home.

relaxing stay at FLLW house

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this charming house. The home has been restored to be consistent with Frank Lloyd Wright's vision of architecture. You really get the experience of living in a FLLW designed home while still having enough amenities for a comfortable stay. There wasn't anything that we needed during our stay that wasn't provided. Joan was a great host and very responsive.

Historical Home

Really loved the house. Overall, we had a fantastic time. We are all big fans of FLW and were thrilled to be able to stay in one of his designs. Lots of delicious food and beer to sample and tons to do in downtown Milwaukee (Domes, Pabst Mansion house tour, Art Museum, Harley Davidson Museum, scenic river walk). Didn't love the neighborhood, was hoping that we could walk more places, but that wasn't the case. You will need to have a vehicle if you stay at this location. Point of contact with the property manager was initially difficult, it didn't appear as though she was receiving the messages I was sending through VRBO but that was sorted out and she was very communicative after arrival and through departure even notifying me that a pair of earrings had been left behind and mailing them to my sister. Couple drawbacks included the downstairs bathroom with a door that didn't fully close or latch. We invented a policy that if the trashcan was in front of the door, it was occupied. Not ideal. The washer worked fine, but we had issues keeping the dryer running which may have been our fault but resulted in air drying clothing. Again, not a huge issue, but inconvenient. There were also numerous cobwebs but overall the house was very clean. Tons of towels which was great.

Highly recommended experience for architecture nerds

The home is unique and fun to stay in. It has a lot of character and interesting design. I recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed the works of Frank Lloyd Wright or wants to learn more about him. Experiences like this are few and far in between.
