Staff was friendly and accommodating. I didn’t get to use the amenities as it was raining. The beds were comfortable and room was spacious. Only negative was the tavern offering food. Breakfast was over priced and unsatisfactory. Food was bland, worst tasting sausage I’ve ever had and service was basic.

Simply the best

Everything is excellent there. This was my second stay there, back after a years, and it was better than remembering it. I am travelling a lot, 50 days per year sleeping in various hotels - and Croydon is the best considering what you pay for and what you receive. Great room, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, room size accurate with all you need. Rooftop area and swimming pool are amazing. Close to beach, which was really nice, clean sea, white sand. Happy hours free coctails starting the evening. Tavern, the restaurant there, serving a tasty food and very nice staff - also the staff in hotel was very nice. Breakfast was much better than american standard is. Simply, all was great, next year if I come to Miami beach I will not search anything else - I will be back in Croydon.

Hotel Croydon markets itself as a boutique luxury experience, but the reality falls somewhere in the middle. While the property has visual charm and a convenient location a block from the beach, several shortcomings take away from what could be a standout stay. What Works: • The building and lobby have a chic, Art Deco vibe that’s visually appealing. • Rooms are decently sized and the beds are comfortable. • The rooftop deck is a nice touch, especially at sunset. Where It Falls Short: • Service is inconsistent — some staff are helpful, others seem uninterested or overwhelmed. • Noise is an issue. Thin walls mean you’ll hear hallway traffic, other guests, and the nearby street at all hours. • The pool is underwhelming, small and more decorative than functional — not ideal for swimming or lounging. • The restaurant (The Tavern) has slow service and a very average menu. There are better options within walking distance. • No parking on-site — street parking is limited and expensive valet is the only alternative. • Happy hour feels like a gimmick — one watered-down drink per person, and long waits to get it. Bottom Line: Hotel Croydon looks great in pictures and has potential, but the experience doesn’t fully deliver on the boutique hotel promise. For the price, you may find better value (and service) elsewhere in Miami Beach — unless you catch a great off-season rate.

In comparison to South Beach, this area is quieter and less crowded, yet offers an abundance of dining options and bars. The beach, located across the street, remains peaceful and not bustling. This hotel is near South Beach while providing a more tranquil atmosphere. Personally, I found this location to be excellent. I have no complaints about the hotel.
