We had the best time! The property is wonderful and peaceful. Sitting on the porch was so relaxing. The house has so much character and history but is updated and very lovely. The hosts are amazing. If we come back to the area, we definitely will stay here.

Best place we’ve ever stayed!

We took the dogs and the boat up to Manhattan to visit Tuttle Creek State Park and Milford Lake over a few days. The house and location were absolutely perfect. You get a country setting just a minute from the convenience of town. The house is immaculately clean, the hosts are so nice, and there are thoughtful touches everywhere. If we ever decide to do this sort of lake trip again we’ll surely stay here.

Best place to stay in Manhattan, Kansas!

My family and I stayed here over Christmas and it was amazing! The home was clean and decorated for the holidays. They even stocked the kitchen with common ingredients for us to use, including brownie makings! Don't hesitate to book your stay. I highly recommend!

Wonderful weekend!!

My family and I decided to rent this home to celebrate my 60th birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect. The home is absolutely beautiful and is only 2 minutes out of town. I was a little apprehensive about the train tracks being so close to the house but there were only about 6 trains a day which was not disturbing at all. We would love to come back.

Relaxing farm getaway

We loved our stay in the Old Rosencutter House. What a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and so is the house! Billie and Stan are great hosts, the rooms are comfortable and everything you need is there. We will definitely try to stay again!

Wonderfully charming farm house

My family had a wonderful stay - house was so warm and cozy. Spotlessly clean. All the beds seemed new and very very comfortable. So many wonderful little details - everything from thoughtful food items to a wonderful letter about history of the house. Communication was excellent and check in / check out process easy peasy. We were in town for March madness basketball games and super easy to get to campus from house. We most definitely will return if we head to Kansas again.

Unique and Beautiful

This historic home is beautifully restored and decorated with amazing details. Very comfortable and welcoming. Everything in this home is of high end quality all the way down to the snacks in the very cool pantry. We will stay there again!

Peacefully perfect family vacation!

Better than described - a delightful home and property. Our family of 5 (all adults) plus our dog and cat enjoyed a fabulous and relaxing vacation together at this lovely home. The house was sparklingly clean and super comfortable, with so many thoughtful touches that helped make life easy. Each room was beautifully and comfortably furnished and there were designated pet blankets in each room as well as a set of outdoor blankets which made relaxing in the shade on the lawn with a good book an absolute delight. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals in and the owners were very generous with providing starter supplies and pantry items beyond what I would have expected. One of the best properties we have ever rented and one of the best vacations we've ever had. I hope we get the chance to return someday. We'll be enjoying these fond memories of our stay for years to come.

MHK Retreat

Great gathering space for family

We had a wonderful time staying in this old farmhouse that has been updated with many nice touches. Billie was fabulous at communicating with me prior to check in and even left a sweet note congratulating our son on KSU graduation. We would definitely stay in this beautifully kept home again.

Everything that we hoped for

My family and I were needing a break from our routine, so we found this property, which looked great online. We were so pleased when it was everything that was advertised and more. That is, the property was clean and comfortable, and a fascinating place to spend time. It is amazing that one can be in such a quiet place, with Manhattan literally just minutes away!
