The property itself is nestled nicely in the trees, the location is very convenient, and I felt safe during my stay. However, the management, cleanliness, and amenities were highly disappointing.Upon arrival, I found dirty underwear and a partial snack wrapper left in the bedroom and a dirty tray in the toaster oven. The kitchen was very poorly stocked for cooking, there were no paper towels, no tin foil to use in the toaster oven, no strainer, and the knives were quite dull. Noise is also an issue; I could clearly hear the upstairs unit watching TV late into the night and had to sleep with a pillow over my head.The biggest issue was the host's unethical billing practices. They required an off-platform pet deposit via Zelle (which violates Vrbo policy) and then refused to return the full amount. I had to escalate the issue to Vrbo customer support twice just to recover my stolen funds. A peaceful setting unfortunately does not make up for this kind of mismanagement.
