Lovely town!

My family and I were visiting Yosemite and found this motel along the way to spend the night. I was a late arrival and the reception gave me instructions on where I’d find my key after hours. Our room had 2 comfy beds and it was nice and clean.

Bathroom upgrade is good. Bed was comfortable. We were disappointed with the building; we had to go to another hotel to get the key. There was no soap and shampoo and the door did not lock properly. There was a bad smell in the very small room so we slept with the window open. It’s way overpriced! I do not recommend this place at all! You need to be very hard up to stay here. Staff is nice but seemed really surprised that we booked there.

Good effort has been put in to offer brand spanking new fixtures, furniture and remodeled rooms. Let's be clear: Lee Vining is not a bustling metropolis, and the remodeling of our motel room was as good as could be expected for its age and location (being graded on an extreme curve for being in the middle of absolutely nowhere!!). Since there are so very few lodgings in this area of California, our motel was comfortable, adequate, clean and new. We could quibble over minor design and construction choices (shower curtain rod hung with curve "upward" instead of "outward" making shower curtain too short, bathroom mirror hung too low, space where a mini fridge might have gone is empty...), it still was warm and cozy. I hesitate to give this 5 stars just because it is the best available in the area, but I wouldn't want to give other visitors the impression that this is much more than a motel room. It serves its purpose well, as a place to stay for a night while exploring the incredible surroundings of highway 395 and we are grateful for the option to stay here.

Convenient and nice place in Lee Vining.

It was easy to check in and they were prompt with any requests. They are in the process of renovating, but there was minimal noise and it was good to see the improvements to the property. Bed and bedding were new and nice.

Room with overwhelming smell of lemon fragrance. Very bright lights outside room at night. WiFi wasn’t working.

This is a small motel right off 395 in Lee Vining. The rooms were recently redone. It is not fancey but very clean, warm and convenient. I appreciated the small coffee maker so I could make more than just one cup before I left in the morning. And the fridge had a small freezer so I could refreeze my ice packs. I would stay there again.

Spacious rooms. Clean, well maintained and good room amenities. Really nice drip coffee maker in room. Dislikes: Next to a noisy busy road with trucks all night. Amazing coffee machine but the cheap plastic cups provided can melt if you put hot drink in them.

Perfect location for travelling in park. clean room and bathroom. We had everything we needed (silverware, bowls..) and loved it. So far the best accomodation in our trip through us national parks. Will come back. Thank you

Newly renovated. Still needed the door to be redone so it wouldn’t drag on the new carpet and fit well in the frame. Nice beds and shower. It was quieter than expected as it is on the highway. No noise from other rooms

I booked two rooms online at same price, when I check in, the office lady told me one is family room, that one is bigger with kitchen, then she upgraded the other regular room to a larger room for us without charge, appreciate alot to her, my friends and I had a pleasant stay. We cooked dinner as it was raining hardly outside, and we had yummy breakfast at a caffee next door, room is clean, comfortable beds, parking is convinent at front of our rooms, walk distance to Mono Lake.

Convenient location

Upon arrival, I initially was rather concerned that the front office was closed, and that I had to go across the street to the Yosemite Gateway Hotel to check in, and back across the street to my room once I had received the room keys. But that was the only hiccup with my reservation. The location is convenient and is within walking distance of cafes and eateries. The rooms are clean and have been remodeled. The drop box for keys outside the front office is convenient for check-out.
