The closest of our hotels is the Iwaki Washington Hotel, Tohoku, which lies 18 miles (30 kilometers) from the heart of Kitaibaraki. Also, you could head to the Hotel Wing International Hitachi, located in Hitachi, which is 17 miles (27 kilometers) from the city center.
The Hotel Route-Inn Iwaki Ekimae is situated 19 miles (30 kilometers) from the downtown precinct of Kitaibaraki. Or, alternatively, the Isohara Seaside Hotel is situated 4 miles (6 kilometers) away. Some other places to stay are the Hotel Terrace the Square-Hitachi and the Hotel Live Max Yumoto.
After you've got to know Kitaibaraki, why not take the time to investigate the many natural and cultural attractions of the Kanto area. Investigate Kanto's ruins and castles and don't forget to fall in love with its beaches and coastal plains. Daring travelers might also try their hand at snowboarding, skiing and tobogganing in this part of Japan.
Mito is 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the south of Kitaibaraki and boasts Tokiwa Shrine and Ibaraki Prefectural Museum of History. A few Mito hotels and apartments include the Daiwa Roynet Hotel MITO and Mito Keisei Hotel. Or stay in Yuki, 60 miles (98 kilometers) southwest of Kitaibaraki, where you can choose from the Hotel Route-Inn Oyama and Hotel Route-Inn Yuuki. Regardless of whether you're passing through or spending a few nights in Yuki, a couple of sights worth adding to your itinerary are the Takedasuga Shrine and Annon-ji Temple.
While you are here why not spend some time cheering wildly with avid lovers of sport at an engaging game. You'll find Nikko Kirifuri Ice Arena 60 miles (98 kilometers) to the west of Kitaibaraki.
