I took my wife to Hawaii for our wedding anniversary and had a great trip but the hotel left a lot of frustration for us.
We are just finishing up our stay and I will say I am disappointed with a lot when it comes to this hotel. First off we have been Marriott bonvoy rewards members for years. When we checked in we were told that since we used Travelocity to book we couldn't add our rewards to this stay. Nothing told us while we were booking that we would be denied of this. That led to no perks for the trip. $40 a day parking ate into our funds for the trip. The lady that checked us in said parking could be comped if we had booked with them and added our rewards but can't! Also I asked for late check out because our flight doesn't leave until later in the afternoon and was told that since we used a third party booking they could not.
Next disappointment is the housekeeping. We were here for 5 days and they never came to clean our room! We had to go to the desk and ask for towels, this should never happen as a guest. My wife does dialysis and needs a clean room to do that in... Everyday we had to clean our own room before she could do this and yes, we let the front desk and the housekeeper on our floor know about this request. They said they would clean for us but never came!
The breakfast staff were the highlight they were very attentive and friendly. The rooms were nice looking and the bed was comfortable.
