No need for a spoonful of sugar, this home had everything we look for in a vacation at the lake: convenience to necessities such as boat launch, groceries, and gas; nice, open floor plan with plenty of places to get away from the crowd if you need some alone-time too. Each bedroom (save for space in loft) has its own bathroom; and the kitchen is fully stocked. We were welcomed by the local host via text, and she stayed in touch to ensure our needs were met (they were). Great dock with water toys and seating and enough space for our two 23-24’ boats and jet ski. Water at dock is 7-8 feet (quickly drops off to about 20’) in quiet cove that is great for swimming or just floating and relaxing. We did not want for anything in kitchen either*: crock pot, blender, all the cooking implements and storage containers (*except hand mixer to go with the beaters we found). There are three ice makers (two in refrigerators, one stand-alone), which for a group as large as ours is a huge bonus! Bathrooms in/adjacent to all the bedrooms was also very convenient for a multi-family group such as ours.
Favorites: wooden above-ground walkway all the way to dock—no need for shoes if you’re so inclined; stand-alone ice maker; quiet, deep cove; and house layout.
Would be nice to haves: a second trash can—trash is picked up weekly, but groups as large as ours generate more than one can of trash; access to enclosed area at dock to store food and drinks for use during day (both items would simply be the icing on an already tasty cake!)
Thank you for sharing your lovely, well-appointed home with us this week! (All appropriate apologies to Mary Poppins)
