So, first off, I slept well and the place was quiet. The staff was kind. The place looked great from the outside. It was also close to the downtown area, which was nice. Our room smelled. It smelled like smoke and smelled like old funk. To be fair, the staff did offer another room but we had already settled in and were very tired from a 12 hour drive. We stayed two nights and it always smelled. Also, it wasnt super clean. There were stains on some of the walls and ceilings. The bedding was clean. There are some chairs in our room that should be tossed. They're gross. We planned to swim as it was very hot but they said the pool was being repaired or renovated. It didnt say this when we booked the room and we should have been offered at least a discount or somthing for that but weren't. We were disappointed with that. The AC was good, though it smelled at first. The water pressure in the shower was good and the water nice and hot. Overall, it's not the worst place but it definitely could use a major remodel. But if they can't afford that, they should definitely take the time to deep clean their rooms. The previous hotel we stayed at was similarly old but it was so clean, it immediately made a great impression. Disappointed by the pool issue. You pay for the room and the amenities. It feels a bit like a bait and switch.

The propery is nice but it needs a makeover. The room we stayed in had frayed carpet, busted blinds, paint spills in the corners. The property itself is beautiful and very relaxing. Our room also needed a more through cleaning. There was dust throughout the room. The edges of the baseboards had build up on them.

The staff were helpful and friendly super great with handling accommodations for our issue which was the mold spots on the ceiling and bathroom in spots with that being said they immediately offered room service to clean it and to move us to another room and requested a partial refund of our fee from the place we booked with and issued the $100 hold back early. The grounds were beautiful (the pool is NOT open) and quiet and we enjoyed our stay otherwise.

These rooms are in such bad condition and dirty they should not be used. They have one 'delux' area that has been renovated which may be the best choice. Beautiful property, quiet, comfy bed, helpful staff.

Despite some poor reviews, this was a perfect stay for a weekend in wine country. The room was clean and spacious and offered in shower shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The refrigerator was cold and had a working small freezer. The bathroom counter area was spacious, and there was plenty of room for extra seating. Linens were clean and fresh and the overall room was slightly updated. If you’re looking for resort style or extra fancy accommodations, this is not it. We will definitely book again. The property is gorgeously lush with many trees and outdoor seating areas and barbecue charcoal grills placed sporadically around each Unit. We enjoyed going down into the wedding venue area although the restaurant on site is no longer offering a menu. It appears as though the third-party that use the space as a restaurant has left the property. A five minute drive down to town, led to amazing coffee, shops, gift, shops, unique stores, and food options.

I love the Northern Queen.

I stayed in Cabin 309. I love the cabins here, very nice and private. I usually opt for a cabin over a room. The owner and staff are very helpful and very sweet people. Beautiful setting in the forest with a walking path and a little railroad. Conveniently situated to be close to all the things I want to see and do. Plus the price is right. I love the Northern Queen!

Hospitable service. I had a nice quiet sleep. The downtown area was within a fifteen minute walk and the area was safe at night. This was my second time staying here. I like how it’s tucked away in the trees, easy to access off the freeway, and the rates are fair.
