"We loved our stay at Dodo Square. Dodo was a great location as a base to travel around the north of Mauritius. Entry details were emailed to us the day before arrival. And once we arrived one of the house keepers notified the admin and our room pin was activated. The studio apartment was clean, spacious and was tastefully decorated. And in a generally new condition. It had all the appliances to cook, if we wanted to. The surrounding area was very quiet in the mornings. "Everything about this hotel was on point. The facilities, service, food, kids club. JD the wellness staff member was exceptional and deserves recognition. Because of him we knew all about the hotel, facilities and ability to use the wellness centre at the spa free of charge. Without him we would not have known this. Kids club had kids eat free which was another lovely bonus. Well done Lux a great family holiday had for all the family :-)"

"The noise! If you like blasting music; screaming, undisciplined children; and ignorant families who yell at each other from all over the property, then, between the direct neighbours partying all day (10:00 am to midnight) for three days straight and the ignorant guests yelling at each other from all over the property, as if it's their private estate, Villa Narmada is the place for you! You'll also be content if you feel "security" means a wide open front lobby door at 1:30 am and the "guard" (the elderly grandfather of the owning family) fast asleep on the sofa, such that I just walked in and past him without waking him at all. (I mean, Mauritius is a very safe country. But, still, other places have gates and alert attendants.) The safe in my room was also an ancient relic, the instructions for which were impossible to understand. At least the closet had a lock and key. Otherwise, sure, the furniture is second-hand, but, the cleaning staff do a dilligent job, everything worked, the pool was well maintained, and management was friendly."
