Amenities poorly maintained. Long list of problems from dryer exhaust not connected (resulting in hours to dry a load of laundry), broken knob and burner on stove, hole in bathroom door, and much more. The "local management" offered to have repairman come out, but didn't want that hassle. Otherwise it's a great location and was very clean - just a lot of minor hassles we should not have had to deal with, especially for the price we paid to rent the house.

Great Little Spot

My new go-to in Galveston! Clean & comfortable, only negative - unable to get the fishing lights on the pier to work. Regardless, would stay here again.

They Canceled

I would have loved to stay in this house which I looked for forever when planning my family fishing trip. I booked it in MAY, three months in advance and four days before my check in I get a call from Vacasa saying its not available because they are redoing the floors. Y'all had three months to get that done. Thanks for ruining my vacation. three

Disappointment

the day after checking in I contacted VRBO about this house and stated the stove was not working properly, the handle on dishwasher was broken, coffee maker not working, one of the stair step boards fell off the day we checked in while walking up the stairs, the floors were not clean,the lock box was very difficult to open, I was told by Vacasa the boat lift would be available only to find it was locked and unable to use. This was the worst experience my family has ever had in a vacation rental. VRBO told me to call Vacasa no help.

The front burner on the stove was not working. There were several soft spots in the floors. Several of the bar stools were broken and one of the chairs at the dining table. The shower in the on-suite appeared to have mold and needed some additional cleaning. Several lights were not working. There were plenty of bath towels but not face towels. Need to provide a broom and mop for the premises. But overall, the stay was good. The view was beautiful! If these issues are resolved, we would love to stay there again. Thanks.

Lost out on hours of vacation time and sleep because of properties management.

Vacation home was clean and great location, but was a nightmare checking in because of defective lockbox with keys inside. Cost us hours of lost vacation time. Had to call help line several times, be on hold too long just to be walked through the same instructions on a helpline from someone in a different state, that did not work and only to be hung up on or disconnected while on the phone. After fourth call and frustrated, I had to argue to demand property management be sent to bring keys. Finally hours later and after our family missed out on activities a nice lady came and told us that the lock box was defective and needed to be replaced. She was able to give us the keys but was going to be going out of town so we were to have to call the help line for anymore issues. While staying in the home a smoke alarm battery died and beeped loudly. Called help line to be on hold forever again. Said they would send someone. Beeping was so loud all night it kept waking everyone up throughout the night. Finally the next evening maintenance came and fixed it. High ceilings so had to have tall ladder to replace. Stove half way worked, only could use two small burners. So cooking anything for the family took twice as long and more time out of our vacation. Vacasa property owners company called day before checkout and only apology was for the stove and offered a $80 refund for stove not working properly. I would not recommend booking a stay at properties owned by this company.

A&M Sea Camp

We'd been advised that the bay side was better place to stay if the beach wasn't of primary interest. We were very pleased with the little house on the bay. It was well cleaned, everything worked as it should and we had absolutely no negative issues during our stay. We will check its availability on our next trip.

We had a great stay! Our nephew and his friend came with us and they loved fishing off the dock. The house was clean and well kept.
