An enormous woody bracket fungus on a fallen tree that has sprouted new brackets perpendicular to the original. The Hoover Scenic Walkway originates on Walnut Street across from Miller Park beside the Galena Cemetery. The trail follows the old Penn Central Railroad bed has been converted into a ½-mile trail that traverses an old railroad bridge over the Little Walnut Creek. From the main trail, head down creek-side and follow the creek for a lengthier jaunt through the wilderness.
