So much fun!

We booked a girls trip to Fredericksburg and stayed here. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub! The house had everything we needed for our 2 night stay and was only a 2 min drive from Main Street! The host was quick to respond with any questions we had. Will definitely stay here again sometime!

Perfect Girls Trip!

This place was everything we needed for our girls trip. The house was as charming, cozy and welcoming as we expected based on the pictures. The extra beds out in the shed were a nice bonus, but we still chose to share the 4 beds inside the house amongst 8 of us and it was still very comfortable for everyone. Location was amazing because we were literally 5 minutes away from everything we wanted to visit. I would totally book this house again in the future!

Family Getaway

I recently stayed at this house with a group of 8, and unfortunately, our experience was not what we expected. Firstly, I chose this property believing it would accommodate everyone comfortably, but the "4th" room is located in the backyard which is not anywhere in the property details. Upon arrival, it was extremely cold in the room outside and the portable heater provided didn’t work, which forced two of us to sleep on couches in the living room that barely fit four people. While the homeowners did send someone to fix the heating issue the following day, it was quite inconvenient for our first night.The house itself, though it has some upgrades, feels very old and outdated. I was disappointed with the cleanliness; the reviews led me to expect better. In fact, we found dead roaches in the cabinets next to the dishes, which is unacceptable. If you stay here, I recommend bringing paper plates, as the silverware and dishes are very old.Another downside was the lack of communication regarding Wi-Fi. The owner didn’t provide that information before our arrival, so I had to ask for it. There was also no host book in the house, which is unusual for a VRBO—especially for first-time visitors who could use local recommendations. On a positive note, the backyard, pool, and hot tub were nice, but everything felt old and dingy. The ice maker was just a small tray, so be sure to bring your own ice.The only positive for me was the location of this house is great!

Friend Fun

We had great fun staying here. Used the hot tub every night even if a bit chilly!!! The outdoors was wonderful, so relaxing. We wished we had stayed longer! We plan on being back!

It was great we did not want to leave. We're 1.4 miles from HEB very short drive to Main street. Everything you need within arms length. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Bachelorette Weekend

We had an amazing bachelorette weekend at Haus In Schwarz! The house is decorated beautifully and perfect for a large group to stay comfortably. The backyard is a great hang out spot with the wading pool & hot tub! My only suggestion is that if you plan to cook at the house, plan to bring the extra cooking utensils/seasoning. Dakota was quick, responsive and super helpful :) highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Fredericksburg!

Nice House, Good Location but Some Issues

We stayed here for an extended weekend as a family of 10 and had a great time. The house is very cute and the backyard is really nice but there were some issues with our stay... We did not receive check-in information (keypad combo, Wi-Fi password, etc.) from the host prior to arriving but when we reached out there was a quick response. The electronic lock on the front door did not work for us, so thankfully there was a backup key we could use. It looked like none of the kitchen items (pots, pans, plates, etc.) were washed (caked-on food, lipstick marks, etc) and we couldn't get the dishwasher to work consistently. We appreciated that the stove had directions on how to use it because we would have never figured it out. There is no real way to lock the separate building unless you are inside of it. This was a huge inconvenience as our guests did not feel comfortable leaving their belongings in the room while we were gone all day. The front yard needs some work. There is a very large dead tree with branches hanging down at eye level. This is very dangerous and we had 3 people almost take out an eye at night. The neighbors clearly do not like that this is a short-term rental. The neighbor across the street has no parking signs up and the neighbor next door complained about us being in the backyard and quickly went inside.

Bachelorette party

The property was very nicely decorated! The wade pool was very small and cold but enjoyable. Had a great time with bridal party and their mom's. The master bedroom was extremely warm and the pocket door was off track. We replaced the coffee pot because we were unable to get the one with the house to work. Other than those mi.or items, we had a great time! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We were looking for a property with a pool close to main st (this one isn’t walkable in the heat but a short drive to the shops). Plenty of space for the 6 of us but the house sleeps up to 12. Updated bathrooms and super comfy beds. The backyard is much larger than we expected and was perfect for us to hang out in.

Fantastic Bach trip!

We had a fantastic time! The space was perfect and plenty of room for everyone. There were some areas in the kitchen, inside the cabinets that could stand a wipe down, since they are empty but the house was definitely clean overall. The neighbors did fuss at 9:45pm on Friday night even though we were going to make sure and be quiet for the 10pm quiet hours- they sent a police officer to warn us (early) to be quiet at 10pm. We did comply and the neighbor sent a $5 Venmo to the bride and said “thank you for quieting down”. Everyone was polite and we wanted to be respectful and follow guidelines. It was a great experience, just have to be very mindful of the neighborhood- as you would anywhere. We would stay there again and loved the home!

Weekend getaway

Extremely easy check in and check out process. Communications with owners was prompt and very helpful. Spacious home with an beautiful backyard, the hot tub was a weekend favorite. The location was close to downtown and only a few minutes from the wineries. I will be back the next time we visit!

Cute house

It’s much smaller than it looks in pictures, and the front yard and exterior of the house need some work- there were branches all over the yard and a shutter falling off one of the outside windows. The inside was really cute and comfortable, it’s an older house that’s been updated and has a fun aesthetic. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the fun back yard set up.

Girls Weekend

The house is decorated super cute. I chose the house because it looked perfect for a girls Weekend. There are 3 bedrooms inside, one bedroom with 2 beds in a “separate dwelling” structure with no restroom. The listing felt misleading as we did not expect this. Going in the summer with the Texas heat we were especially excited to have a pool. The pool is not what we expected either. It is small with a deck for sitting around and a small area to wade in. We had fun but it not what was expected.
