I was unable to go to Fort Wayne on friday 1/16 to accept my reservation but showed up at the hotel on saturday to accept my reservation for the 17th but the hotel said that "Hotels.com" had cancelled my PAID reservation for the 17th due to a "no show" on friday the 16th - I paid $555 for the weekend but Hotels.com cancelled the whole weekend due to my "no show" on Friday the 16th - after calling Hotels.com for a refund (at least for the Saturday room) they said NO REFUND due to me not using the Protection - I WILL NOT BE DEALING WITH HOTELS.COM EVER AGAIN & WILL TELL EVERYONE IN OUR VOLLLEYBALL & DANCE COMPANY ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bed was comfortable but the nightstand was in rough shape, as was the carpet (both very worn). The floor lamp in the room didn't work. Overall the lighting in both the bathroom and the bedroom was very poor. The bathroom sink had fine cracks all through it. There was only one towel rack in the bathroom and it was in the shower. There wasn't anywhere to hang a hand towel, robe, etc. The bathroom also did not have any tissues in it. There was an empty holder though. The reviews I read about the carpeting in hallways being puckered is true. I would have been very concerned if my elderly mother had been with me. She fell and broke her hip a year ago under similar circumstances. The staff I encountered was the woman who checked me in and out. She was not rude, but not welcoming either. The two ladies I passed by who were with housekeeping were very pleasant though. They said good morning and have a nice day and seemed genuine. For $160 for 1 night and breakfast not provided, I would have been happier somewhere else.
