Worst stay and I hope I didn’t bring back roaches

First of all the staff at the hotel told us that we would get a double bed handicap accessible room. I sent my niece there to make sure and they showed her the room while she video called us to see it. I even put it on the hotels.com app that says they will send it over to the hotel. When we arrived they said the room wasn’t ready due to the air conditioning being out. Then they said that they never got anything saying that we needed a handicap room. My mother is handicapped and had a difficult time with the bathroom. It could have been a real problem if she would’ve fell in that shower. With no railing or seat I had to try and help her while washing. The manager said that they would comp us one night and as of today I don’t see it off the bill. I think that was to get us out of her face. I will be making some calls about this. The cleaning staff did their best with what they had. They were friendly helpful and I know it’s not their fault that we had a roach come out on our last night there. Not a big roach but an infestation type. The door to the bathroom kept getting stuck and was loud. The room was so patched up that it did not look like the pictures. I’m so disappointed from the start of our trip driving 9 hours with no other options at the last minute to the last night that I don’t think I would use this app for my bookings in the future. I would recommend that if the hotel has limited handicap rooms, to notify the customer days in advance if it’s out of order.

Very close to Inter Miami's home stadium, just 15 mins walk. So this hotel has always been my choice whenever I come to Fort Lauderdale for a Inter Miami match. Lot of parking available, lot of fast food options within 5 mins walking distance. The stadium itself is just 15 mins walk. The morning hot breakfast is nice as well.
