This custom home is located on beautiful Lakeshore Drive which borders Lake Michigan and is only minutes from the vibrant community of Saugatuck/Douglas.

The main floor features panoramic views of the Lake Michigan shoreline. A fabulous cooks kitchen opens to a spacious dining area and elegant living room. The custom paneled office provides a dedicated work space and bar area and a convenient main floor bedroom features a queen bed and ensuite bath. There is an additional full bath located on the floor as well with walk in shower and a 1/2 bath for convenience.
The upper level provides 4 additional bedrooms as well as a bunk room wing. The primary suite features a king bed and balcony, bath with bidet, soaking tub and walk in shower. There is an additional guest room with a queen bed and attached bath and 2 more bedrooms with queen beds and shared bath. The bunk wing features 3 sets ot twin bunks as well as 2 twin daybeds, a kitchenette and tv area.
This home is located on a wooded lot directly across from private Lake Michigan beach access by stairs. The front porch is a perfect spot to enjoy the views and the large backyard greenspace features a firepit , patio with gas grill and dining table , built in outdoor fireplace and outdoor shower.

THE LOCATION
A vacation here will be a once in a lifetime experience. Relax by the outside fireplace or take a short drive to the What Not for a cocktail - a favorite spot for vacationers and locals alike! Award winning Oval Beach is just a short drive away. This is resort living at its best with total privacy. (Not available for weddings.)

"This is an amazing property. It's a perfect location for a big family, multiple families, or a few friends joining together. The kids bunk room is fabulous and can sleep so many that we were all very comfortable. The kitchen is huge and there are a lot of seating areas that even with a big group you don't feel like you're on top of each other. The view is fabulous and the private beach access is awesome. The kids spend hours there daily and it was so nice that they could just walk to it while some adults could stay back in the house to relax. I love that it is at the end of a cul-de-sac so it's very quiet and safe for kids to be outside. It is also barely 10-15 minutes to the town and we loved popping by there for coffee, meals, shopping. The town is adorable and so quaint. It was our first time in the area and we loved how family friendly it was."

College Friend Reunion

The property was a perfect choice for our annual reunion. The house itself is very lovely and large but also is very quality. We also loved the location. The house is located on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. Our group of ladies enjoyed a day of shopping and exploring in both Saugatuck and Holland.Truly a perfect choice for our group of seven women to meet and enjoy time together.

Amazing Lake House

This is an amazing property. It's a perfect location for a big family, multiple families, or a few friends joining together. The kids bunk room is fabulous and can sleep so many that we were all very comfortable. The kitchen is huge and there are a lot of seating areas that even with a big group you don't feel like you're on top of each other. The view is fabulous and the private beach access is awesome. The kids spend hours there daily and it was so nice that they could just walk to it while some adults could stay back in the house to relax. I love that it is at the end of a cul-de-sac so it's very quiet and safe for kids to be outside. It is also barely 10-15 minutes to the town and we loved popping by there for coffee, meals, shopping. The town is adorable and so quaint. It was our first time in the area and we loved how family friendly it was. There are a lot of things to do outdoors, so many great ice cream places to try, and great coffee shops, and beaches to explore/hike along. My two small nitpicks are I wish there was better seating in the front of the house where the view is and I would have liked more cleaning supplies to help keep the house tidy. The floors were a little dirty when when we first arrived and we bought some swiffer wet wipes to tidy along the week. They also don't provide any wood for the firepit- even a few logs to get started would be a nice courtesy. All small details because otherwise the stay was great and very comfortable.

Family Getaway

We have a large family, so finding a place to accommodate all of us is TOUGH! This rental was absolutely lovely! The view is breathtaking, it’s close in location to Douglas, saugatuak and south haven! House was clean and rooms were spacious! We were disappointed when we got to the house to see there was no access to the beach from the stairs. They are completely blocked off with no direct access to the beach! Other than that, we loved it and had a great vacation! Thank you!!

Excellent property and community

The house and grounds were excellent which should be expected at this price point. We also really liked the location coming from Indianapolis, as of mid 2021 there is so much construction that getting around can be a challenge. The bonus room above the garage was outstanding with the bunk beds and dedicated bathroom for the kids. There is still water pressure issues as discussed in previous reviews but the rental company seems to be addressing it because there was a plumber scheduled while we were there. We were pretty disappointed by the inaccuracy of the Lakeshore photo. The stairs down are no longer there at all! We're completely understanding if water level determines if the beach is usable, but figured either way we could walk down to the water and sit on the landings. Listing should be revised to take the stairs out to avoid misleading customers.

Christmas vacation

Home was outstanding. My wife loved the kitchen and dining area. The view at sunset was also amazing. However, we noted several items on our exit sheet. Garbage disposal in kitchen did not work. Problems with water pressure and hot water in several bathrooms upstairs including the master bedroom. No hot water or water pressure in bedroom overlooking the foyer. Shower in the bunkhouse bedroom was ok. Icemaker in main refrigerator in kitchen did not work. We were able to work around these issues and had a good time. We would return in the future.

Stunning views, stunning property.

The experience was excellent, there was literally nothing we would have changed. Lots of different spaces to be together, just as many to relax and recharge for a bit alone. Highly recommended, a beautiful meticulously maintained home.

Great place to stay!

We loved it here! The home was spacious and clean. We had tons of space to spread out, play games, have fires, and relax. We only had two complaints and I am sure one was user error. 1. No cell service upon arrival made us have to turn around and head back a few miles in order to get the keybox code so that we could enter the house. Once we were there, we logged into the wifi and didn't have any problems making calls. 2. None of the doors had screens/many of the windows in the rooms upstairs did not open. We wanted to take advantage of the fresh air at night, but struggled with the the thought of leaving doors open and letting in bugs. We plan to book the house again next year!

Gorgeous large home with views and access to Lake Michigan.

This is a great newer home for a large family. The views of sunset are magnificent. We had 5 gorgeous days and all great sunsets. There are six bedrooms (one on the main floor) each with their own bathroom. The 6th bedroom is really more likely bonus room over the garage with 3 bunk beds and 2 extra beds. We had 10 people and more than ample room. The common areas including a huge modern kitchen are excellent for dining and hanging out. The house is listed as being on Lake Michigan. Actually, the house is across the street from the lake, with private stair access to the lake. There is nothing between the house and the lake aside from the street. There are about 75 stairs down the ravines to the lake. Please note that there is no beach (perhaps washed away), so there is not much opportunity to really enjoy the lake aside from viewing. It would be impossible to sit or play on the lokited and rocky beach or swim as the waves crash along the rocks, so do not rent this house if lake recreation is important to you. Upon arrival, a portion of the electrical and water was not working properly. Susan at bvw rental was responsive and we had a repair person there the next morning. The electrical was repaired, but not the water issue. Unfortunately, the water issue was never resolved satisfactorily despite several additional repair visits. The water issue was primarily a lack of water pressure in the master and several of the other showers to the point where showering in those bathrooms was unsatisfactory. Please be sure to check on this issue before renting this property. I’m the our 2nd night, the electricity went out in the entire neighborhood (we were told about 80 houses were impacted). The house has a general backup generator, however, it did not function, so we had no electricity. This is not that big of a deal, however, the water system pump is connected to the electricity, so we not only had no running water for drinking or showers, the toilets did not work as well. I feel that for a house of this quality and high rental rates, that something as basic these days as a backup generator should work especially if use of water is connected to the electricity. The backyard fire pit is nice (real wood). The three car garage is nice to keep your cars inside, but note the garage is not cleaned and there was a lot of dirt and spider webs in the garage. Overall, our family had a great time and enjoyed the property.

Family Stay in Fennville

Outstanding property in a terrific location. The overall appearance of the property was upscale with an amazing view of Lake Michigan. The size of the home was more than adequate for 8 adults and 5 small children. The kids had a blast in the bunk room. There were plenty of full baths for our needs and the location was right in the middle of vacation cities in Michigan with lots for the families to do.

Lakeshore Drive Fennville

My wife and I stayed in July 2019 with our daughters and their families; in all, 6 adults and 5 grandsons. We absolutely loved our stay. The house is well appointed, spacious and close to the water and attractions around Fennville, Saugatuck and Douglas. We hope to stay again soon.
