Mountaintop retreat

This is home is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice! The location is definitely something you need experience in person. We spent many mornings sitting and enjoying the view. The home is situated to take advantage of the amazing vistas. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds! Scary stairs, but we were expecting it- accurate description of the home in the listing. Can't wait to come back!

Holiday Winter Wonderland!

Our family of four spent the week prior to Christmas at Durango Ridge. Wow! What a perfectly peaceful getaway! Gorgeous home with absolutely stunning mountain views from every room! It snowed quite a bit while we were there, and we were quite content to be hunkered down and cozy. My husband enjoyed the hot tub, we had family walks in the beautiful snow, and our teenage boys were able to have some fun sledding down the long driveway. (They also appreciated the XBOX set up!) I enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen and curling up with a good book and watching the snow fall... An added touch was the gorgeous Christmas tree to help set the mood. Owner, Lori was accommodating and easy to communicate with! Road & driveway up to the house on the ridge were kept plowed while we were there, however definitely recommend AWD to get up the the house during the winter months! Top notch all around!

Amazing Views and House

This is one of those rare listings where the pictures just do not do the property justice - the house and the view are incredible. Additionally, the property manager communicated well - we had a smooth check-in, the amenities were top notch, and they had a substantial number of nice touches - for example, QR codes to videos that explained tricky things such as what to do for the grill. Overall, incredibly well thought through experience, and am definitely looking for an excuse to come again.

Mountain top get away

Overall great experience. Views and property were absolutely amazing. Home was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. Great floor plan for many different groups. Loft areas are super cute but because the letters are so steep I would have been concerned if we had young kids in our group. As a group the only issues we had while staying here were that the hot tub would not hold temp, and the furnace for the home was extremely loud. When the furnace kicked on in the middle of the night it work all of us up multiple times. Other than that we had a great experience.

Amazing!

What a find! Endless views and tons of elk and deer on and around the property, felt remote yet close to civilization. The house was perfect for our family of four. The kitchen was well stocked and spotless. Plenty of linens and blankets for the comfy beds. The fixed fire pit and the portable one were in perfect working order along with the hot tub. The house instructions were clear and the owners had a bunch of QR codes in the instructions and even some discretely posted around the house showing you how to operate things. 2 things of note, with the house perched above the valley floor on an exposed ridge, it got windy. Like 40+ mph gusts at times. Make sure you read the operating instructions on the doors and windows and follow them! Also, to get to the location, you have to take a gavel and dirt road, so probably leave your low rider car at home. The other thing of note is that the stairs getting to the loft and the second floor have alternating treads which can make going up or down a bit tricky for those who are accident prone. Overall we were floored and will be back!

Private and serene

The property was removed from town, but it was exactly what we wanted! Perched on top of a hill, we enjoyed all the open spaces and amazing views it had to offer. Checking in and out was very easy and the house had the best amenities of any other house we stayed in. Lots of dish-ware, cookware, spices...it had everything you needed to feel at home away from home. We hope to be staying there again in the future.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views!

This was a perfect winter escape for our family of five. The home was fully stocked with amenities and comfortable furniture. The natural light pouring in from each window and the incredible views were a great change from dreary Seattle winter skies. We loved playing in the snow in the front yard and looking out over the valley from the hot tub. The kids' game/movie room was a hit! Internet is satellite, and somewhat spotty depending on weather, so please plan accordingly. Heed the listing advice of AWD/4WD for winter travel! We can't wait to book again and enjoy this beautiful home and the views in another season.
