I will first start off with all the positives. Great location. The staff were amazing. Very polite and accommodating. The hotel was very clean. Rooms, hallways, lounge. The housekeeping was wonderful. The beds were made, room was tidy and the bath towels are big, which is rare.
Now for the improvements. It needs upgrading. An elevator is available for some floors. Sixth floor, nope and trust me, it was extremely difficult to navigate the narrow stairs with suitcases. It was cold when we were there. Our first room had low ceilings and a window that was no bigger than your car windshield. We asked to move. They accommodated us to a sixth floor room. The room was big, high ceilings, but freezing cold. The radiator didn't work and the tiny space heater did nothing. We asked to move, again. Moved to the 3rd floor. This room was renovated. It had a double bed and a single. I understand why they do this configuration, for a family, but they would have been better off with a king bed. The double bed was against the wall and you had very little room to move between beds. You couldn't lay your luggage out the room layout was not ideal at all. The bathroom was beyond small. The sink was really a regular sink cut in half with a glass shelving unit above it. The mattresses were awful. They were lumpy and had large divots. We had a horrible sleep. We have stayed in Ireland before, so we have hotel comparisons. Check around first. Good for a one night stay.
